Report: Local Conservative Chair Hints Party May Not Play Ball

The Oswego County Chair of the Conservative Party says he is not so sure about who will appear on his party's line for Congress in the upcoming NNY race pitting Matt Doheny against Democrat incumbent, Rep. Bill Owens.
County Chair Len Schick says he is not certain that his group will back a cross endorse of likely GOP nominee Doheny, although most observers think the party's state chair, Mike Long, will not repeat the Doug Hoffman scenario that is widely thought to have allowed Mr. Owens reelection in 2010.
Doheny's possible challenger is now calling herself the "principled conservative" in the race and that perhaps is a window into the strategy of Kellie Greene, who is an Oswego County native who recently moved back to NNY after years of living in AZ.
Principles aside, the Conservative Party must cross endorse if it hopes to block Mr. Owens.
I just don't see anyway Chairman Long goes off the reservation on this one.

My money is on Long......

My money is on the people who can see clearly that Doheny is no conservative!

It may be that the conservatives are paying closer attention to the details of who who Matts local allies are....

IQS Scandal+Fred Beardsley+George Williams=bad news for Matt in Oswego

I like Hoffman...at least what he stands for. But he was a train wreck of a candidate. Yet he and his party almost won and he and Matt cost each other the race.

In light of that...the Conservative party is probably feeling very important right about now. And who knows...maybe if they ran someone that is better looking and speaks well then they would force Matt to exit the race. Either that or Matt should just buy them off right now.

I'll tell you one thing...if these guys mess it up for the good side again I am going to be very very very angry.

Yes 10:40, that's very funny. We certainly would be better off with Nancie Pelosi making all the decisions for us here in our district. You stick to that line of stupidity.

Len Schick does not care about conservative principles. He supported Merrell and Macrae for Supreme Court even though they are both liberals. He cares about power and who he is mad at at the time.

Im glad Long is doing this.Matt needs to feel how it feels to be screwed as much as he can!!!!Being on Wall Street he knows the other side of the coin.........

Too liberal; too conservative; how about just right in the middle where the vast majority of people are and want their Rep./Sen. to be and serve from .

The left/right is here to stay - more Indies are needed, people who can walk the line between both and have a little bit of both (the best parts) but how, that is the question.

This is what I said befor they will do what ever it takes to fight against each other.I can understand they realy have not wanted to win in a couple elections.Rich people hurting the chance of another rich guy.I don't care!I can just say I told you so again dumb people repeat dumb actions.....

Juston, why do you hate rich people?

It is not a question of too liberal or too conservative, Dannie. You know that. At least I hope you do. Its a matter of splitting the vote of the people who don't want Nancie Pelosi to make decisions for us here in the 23rd. As long as Owens is in office, our decisions are made by fools on the west coast. You know that too. At least I hope you do.

I'm voting for the guy who says corporations are people, and has the biggest Super Pac. I know he or she will be looking out for us poor folks in the North Woods.

Maybe we can have a lottery, and Doheney will let the winner visit his island, and eat left overs, after he's washed the windows, and mowed the lawn.

6:07 PM. Why do you hate anyone that has a different opinion than yours?

Juston's Take On Government said...

I don't hate I dislike it's a right! free country or not....

Because they are wrong and I am right...a-Duh!

And that is a way better answer than, "because I can or I have the right to".

Nancy Pelosi? That guy at 6:47 pm must be one of those smart fellers from the Rutherford Institute or maybe The Heritage Foundation. Probably one of them "Senior Fellows" who get paid to share their Neo-con ignorance.

Just read the Watertown Times to get a daily dose of these guys. Although, for a break The Times often gives us a column by George Will.

Listen Buddy, I know guys like Karl Rove and Rush Limbaugh are proud of you for not having an original thought of your own.

If all you've got on Owens is to throw Nancy Pelosi's name at him, then you haven't got much. Especially, when us Tea Party
folks go after "Mr. Hedge Fund Doheny".

Hedge fund? That sounds scary!
I'm not saying you know what a hedge fund is...but still...scary stuff.

I like free birth control though. Thanks Owens! I really like the part about no co-pays whatsoever. Sure you had to cut billions from grandma's medicaid to pay for it but I still love it. Grandma owes those young people free everything.

Oops...I should have said to help pay for it...cus the insurance premiums still had to go up 30% to pay for the rest of the free brith control.

I like the part about forcing churches to pay for birth control too. Thanks again Owens!

Maybe hedge funds aren't so scary on second thought.
