Back in the saddle again......My friends and former work mates at FX Caprara are leading a surge in Jefferson County car sales that had December new car registrations at over 400....twice the average of December sales in recent years and nearly three times those of recession ravaged 2008.
Further, since getting the Chrysler/Jeep franchise for Watertown back, US brands of JEEP and Dodge have surged to number one and three in cars and Dodge is topping new truck sales. Another FX brand, Kia, logged second place in new car sales.
Over recent years, foreign brands had been leaving domestic sales in the dust.
The retail auto industry employs hundreds in the county and rebound has been pronounced of late. In particular, the Caprara rebound came after decades of competition. My read is that the consistent, plodding style of the dealership has won in the long run and the Chrysler comeback is downright newsworthy.

Plodding? Perhaps
Or
Legal and ethical?
If it was up to the dittoheads, there would be no Chrysler today and the thousands employed there would be SOL. Those Hannity types are a savvy bunch. I wish they were running the country.
Doesn't matter how much effort the greenie-weenies put into destroying the SUV and pickup sales the American public is still buying the vehicles they need for work and WANT to drive. Just read somewhere that Ford sold 3 trucks for every car in December and that one of the much touted greenie-weeniemobiles only sold something like 900 vehicles in the whole country for December. Apparently, the American Spirit isn't quite dead yet.
One of your callers who stated that the parts are made all over the world is correct. But, the cars are put together by Americans on American lines. So yes they are American made. The are one hundred percent American made. They feed several Americans, including me. Buying a Jeep should make you proud to be in the good old USA.
Yup, if it was up to the dittoheads Chrysler would have gone bankrupt and someone would have shown up at the auction to buy it. Only thing it would cost the government a lot less and the new owner would be invested and competent to turn it around.
9:23 If government intervention was a good thing, then why is the strongest auto company, Ford, the only one that didn't line up for free borrowed money? You're telling us Chinese money, added to the deficit to continue to produce inferior cars, is a GOOD thing? You certainly are a FreeStuff kinda guy. And now all them bailed out auto workers are in effect government employees. And we sure need more of them.
