A North Carolina newspaper reports a pit bull from the Tar Heel State thought to be killing farm animals has been rescued and moved to Watertown.....The report may be false as a commenter to the Gazzette story says the rescue group is in Auburn.

Makes sense.
Perfect! He should be a big hit with the animals and kids at the market next summer..after all he is just a doggy and couldn't be a menace..
What a happy, heartwarming story for this time of year. (sarc)
See...we don't need a new dog law we just need to put the owners in prison that take these animals out in public. Reckless endangerment.
Pit City Rescue and this dog are in Auburn NY, not Watertown. Leave it to the mayor not to know that.
Pit City Rescue of Watertown, N.Y.?
Aren't we the lucky ones
Auburn and Watertown are two different places. Watertown is on Route 81, north of Syracuse, towards the St Lawrence River. Auburn is WSW of Syracuse, about 25 miles. It has a big prison in it. Both cities allow dogs, for now. Although the northern most city, that be Watertown, is about to outlaw dogs in some circumstances. This will eliminate bad stuff from happening. For the most part. Usually.
Where's the dog? Yager says he lives near Ft drum. I don't wanna get bit.
Just don't get down in his face and woof at him. But if you lick his.. well, never mind.
According to the article the guy that owns Pit City is named Yager... And according to the county tax records this individual owns a house in Jefferson county!
Hopefully it wont go to the Farmers Market.
Well I regret not seeing this post last year because I would have set you straight, but yes that pit bull went to Calcium where he lived quietly before we all moved to North Carolina. Mayor Graham and I have had limited contact in the past regarding animal advocacy issues in Watertown, but I want to set the record straight that this "vicious" pitbull resided for 10 months in the Watertown area, walked in watertown parks, interacted with watertown children, and there was no issue because we care about our animals and ensure they act in a safe, quiet manner. Once again, Mayor Graham, its the owner, not the dog. -Eric Yager
Also, I forgot to mention (my wife reminded me) that he walked in the Syracuse St. Patrick's Day Parade and attended multiple events where upwards of 2000 people attended. Goes to show that the surface generally doesn't match reality and that, once again, its the owner (not the dog).
