Governor Cuomo has a countdown clock on his website to herald new tax rates in NYS....They are sort of lower because the temporary surcharge on the rich was reinstated but at a lower rate....
Mr. Cuomo was able to settle the tax issue was was becoming a problem for him as the Legislature was talking itself into a soak the rich mood, so the Cuomo plan does a little of that and throws a bone to the little people too.

Taxes are higher on anyone earning more than 150k per year, than they were two years ago. They would have been lower if they were allowed to sunset as promised.
Around here, to to get in that bracket, you would have to be 25+ year husband and wife teachers, in the big efficient Watertown or Indian river school districts. Or you would have to be a superintendent married to a teacher in one of the small inefficient school districts.
But the important thing to remember is how our tax rates compare to the income tax rates in Naples Florida.
And the dumb thing is most states tax places such as Home Depot while our state lets them get away with shifting income out of state. If they would just close that loophole they could hire some more SUNY presidents and pay for Tug Hill retirements for years to come.
Coomo ended up caving just like the rest of them. Only this guy managed to redefine words. And MSM helped him along. Mouthpieces like the WDT call a $2billion dollar revenue grab a tax cut. Why don't we just call loss of jobs "new opportunities" and people who have to leave the state for employment "vacationers"? As long as you can lie about things, and have media support, there is nothing you can't accomplish. What a great Gov! And this ain't partisan. Even our Republican friends have signed on to the campaign.
The MSN and Obama redefined the word "reform" a few years before this. I don't see why a 2 billion dollar tax increase can't be defined as a tax cut? After all...more people will be paying less than there are that will be paying more. Or at least less than they did this year but not less than if our RINO friends allowed the crooked HUD governor no change in tax rates.
Doesnt it seem odd that State Pensions arent taxed? Also Federal Pensions are not either, seems odd dont you think?
Only a matter of time, 4:38. A short time at that. And then you will hear the retired teachers howling like their free lunch got cancelled.
The federal pensions are not taxed because they won a lawsuit. It was ruled that if you don't tax the state pensions then you cannot tax the federal ones.
That is in the constitution right next to the right to abortion on demand and the part about corporations being people.
Why should people pay taxes on the pensions? We can just have the millionaires pay the taxes.
Its income tax it. The other thing thats odd is the Medicare part B is FREE if on a state pension, everyone else pays.
Well, it is obvious from the above remarks that not everybody is sucked in by the MSM's attempt to lull us into the warm-fuzzy/ touchy-feely/we-all-love-King-Andy state of mind. It proves that there are at least a few itelligent souls left in N.Y. Not many, mind you, but at least a few who can still think for themselves.
Nothing will change as long as NY City is a part of NY State. The two attempts to seperate us have gone nowhere. The exodus of our youth and big business from the Stae proves that everyone knows it never will get anywhere.
9:25 is on it. Remember, there's always a chance you can get your kids a state job. Slim, but you can try. Otherwise, bahawahahahaha.
