George Will is sort of a stuffy Republican but he cuts to the bone on the dubious choice now facing GOP voters....Mitt (Tom Dewey) Romney and Newt (Winston Churchill and Maggie Thatcher all in one) Gingrich.
There is something disingenuous about Mr. Gingrich...a career bloviator and self appointed pontificator of the human condition...Then there is the conservative of convenience and chronic flip flopper Mitt Romney, whose father you will recall was brainwashed by the brass in Vietnam.
I think the President needs to be defeated, but I really don't know about these two....I sort of liked Romney till he made those patronizing comments about having a sip of beer as an errant teen. As for Newt, I just can't get over never liking him.
I don't get to vote in any primaries as I didn't re-register for the 2012 cycle. So it doesn't really matter what I think....Other than the President can look ahead with confidence to 2012 while he and the MSM enjoy their 17 day vacation in Hawaii....all on expense account.

You do have to keep in mind that both Newt and Romney have been subjected to MSM's unending smear campaign, part of their expected push to defend the indefensible. Our First Black President and Annointed One has been a complete disaster on any and all aspects of his presidency. The best way to defend him is to demonize the competition. The fact that you have misgivings is should come as no surprise. That is the strategy of the Chosen One and the media that defends him. Besides his desire to continue to receive his FreeStuff, why do you think the Dannie types are so threatened by ANY alternative? No matter who went up against the ignore reality prezidint, the scheme would be the same. Hate, misrepresentation, double standards, and nuanced unfairness. I'm sure we will hear something very soon about how Newt or Romney did this or that. Cain is out. Now we can switch to the others. As I've said many times. I have a government job. My children are grown and employed. I have no problem screwing yours. And that's all we are doing when we continue to keep on spending money we do not have.
Go, Ron, Go!!
Will's column goes on to say that the candidate with the most conservative bona fides is Huntsman, yet he trails the pack miserably. I don't understand this and I hope he can ratchet things up in New Hampshire and thereafter. Huntsman remains the GOP's best hope of defeating Obama.
Idiots who keep using the terms Anoited One, Chosen One,etc are only assuring the re-election of Obama. But hey, he has a government job, maybe that's what he wants.
As a Dem I wonder how in the friggin world can the republicans nominate either of the two when they have Jon Huntsman as a choice. Huntsman is a true conservative with a history to prove It, unlike those other two flip flopping hypocritical bums.
Of course 3 years ago I wondered how the hell we Dems could nominate Obama when we had the choice between him and Hillary. So what the hell do I know?
11:11, I don't much care who we elect next time around. The damage is pretty well done. I am enjoying your kids' future. Thank them for me. And I ask you, who really is the idiot here? If you figure it out, don't call early because I'm off the rest of the week. I'll be sleeping in. Govment work is sooo demanding. Remember, everything we do is for your kids.
For someone who "don't much care" you sure run your mouth alot.
Hmm… Could it be that John Huntsman's intellect and integrity (most recently rejecting the foolish Trump debate) keeps the GOP from supporting him in spite of his conservative record?
Truthfulness and intelligence does not seem to be in high demand in the current Republican playbook.
Don't choke in your sleep....Keep one eye open too...My advice.
Idi Amin Duda, Is there suppose to be some sort of cryptic message behind your comment?
Just the facts Jack.
Facts? Thats a first. When have you ever been concerned about facts pee wee?
I do care about.....your kids. Please empty another one of their savings accounts and send it to my pension fund. Thanks. Now go back to work and vote status quo.
