Gingrich Fading Fast

The Gingrich boomlet seems over.....after having everyone gang up on him with pointed attack ads, former Speaker Newt Gingrich is fading fast in the GOP Presidential race.....and that means the establishment candidate....Mitt Romney will likely to the nominee after all....Of course there is time to see that change again, but despite the ups and downs of the race, it has been Romney who was most consistent. It' hard to imagine Mr. Romney losing the nomination unless a previously unannounced candidate gets in....But even that would require Mr. Romney to stumble....

I didn't realize this. Just the other day Newt was winning. Betcha Obama is relieved he won't have to debate Newt.

The idea that Newt was going to beat Obama in a debate is laughable. Sure Newt would win but not in the eyes of the swing voter audience that votes for people like Obama.

Look at what they are doing to him over impeaching SCOTUS members. The constitution never mentions three branches with equal powers. Instead it spells out the powers of each branch. One branch is given the power to impeach civil officers and that should include a judge.

Impeachment is just like changing the constitutions in that it takes two thirds majority. That cannot be done at the drop of a hat or ever time someone disagrees with a ruling. It would have to be over an unconscionable ruling in order to get so much backing.

The MSN and hate radio crowd have distorted just how brilliant Mitt is. Mitt is the guy with better grades than Obama in an ivy league school. Mitt is the one that was hand chosen by the management consultant he worked for to start Bain Capital. Mitt is the guy that was married to the same woman for his whole adult life. Mitt is the one that was able to get some concession from democrat controlled state government when he was governor.

Mitt is smarter nicer, more liked, more charming and more accomplished than Newt. He is just holding back so he can get the moderates in the election.

Mitt's experience would be to recognize guys like Newt and hire them as his bitch. So if you think Newt is the guy that can best get the job done then don't worry because Mitt will hire him to do it. That's what hundred-million-dollar-aires are good at. Unless you made your money as a consultant to F&F like Newt did. guys like that are just good at politics and status quo.

I like his idea of doing away with the federal judiciary. What made people think this fascist was ready for prime time. He thinks he's running for King. Someone remind him we have a Constitution

Not quite laughable, 9:20. The Newt would make our First Black President turn white with fear if he had to face him and actually attempt a teleprompter response. Newt would kick his baloney ass. I do understand your belief that Mitt would be stronger with the milktoast middle of the roaders, but so was John McCain, theoretically. See where that got us. Newt might lose, as any Elephant might. It's tough to compete with FreeStuff, even when unemployment is in double digits, our debt is out of control, and our kids are completely screwed. I mean, who the hell cares as long as we get ours? But with Newt we would see a guy who'd do Joe Frasier on Obama's head. He might lose, but it would be fun to watch. Mitt will just be a nice guy.

Newt:

1. Bought and paid for by Murdock.
2. Dumps his very sick wife.
3. Shills for Freddie Mac and lies about not being a lobbyist.
4. Insults Palestinians to curry favor with Jewish voters.
5. Hawkish draft doger.
6. Bungled being Speaker - forced out by his own party.

9:12 you are over the laughable threshold. Contrary to the hate radio repeat a lie often enough theory...McCain lost because he selected Sarah. It did not help that the economy imploded and everyone had a hangover from the MSN Bush bashing. But still, all the polling points to the reason misogyny is defined...a man that hates a woman as much as women hate one another. Not enough Women voted for Sarah and that is just a statistical fact.

You can have your debate that you think Newt won while the MSN and milquetoast middle think he lost. I prefer to have the white house back.

And Mitt would not have earned hundreds of millions of dollars in business if he was indeed a nice guy in deed.

The last guy who dumped a sick wife, hell a dying wife, was a top Donkey boy in line for the presidency. Hold the sorrow.

7:12 I supported Romney last time. I still could. My problem with him is he doesn't attack the Criminal in Chief. We went with a nice guy last time. If we are going down to the FreeStuff crowd, fine. Let's go down with someone who tells it like it is. I do see your argument otherwise. As far as the laughable stuff, I never laughed. You have me confused with someone else.

Okay.
But Dennis Miller summed it up a few weeks ago on the Fact-or. He said the American voters watch the elections like they watch television. They don't want to see re-runs. So strategically it is best for any of them to wait until later to do the big attacks. So far Mitt has said Obama is a failure and not a leader. That sounds a lot like an attack to me.
