Once again, former Watertown radio star Steve Behm gets it right...
TIME Magazine has again come up with a goofy "Person of the Year" by naming the "protestor" as that person....It's a generic designation based on the uprisings in the Middle East and the Occupy Wall Street movement here.
This is dumb....pick a person...somebody who was inspiring, someone who accomplished something.....someone who was infamous ....
Behm picks Rep. Giffords for overcoming the odds to recover from a normally certain fatal shot to the head.....That's a good choice....there may be others who somehow caught our fancy....but the generic "protestor" is not one of them.

Time wouldn't have picked the protestor when the Tea Party was out in force. But now that the trust fund babies are on extended vacation they feel their pain. So friggin' stupid. So predictable. So cool and fashionable. But it will appeal to the Dannie types.
And what is so inspiring about getting shot? If that is the measure of greatness, then the person of the year should be all our soldiers who volunteered to get shot in service to their country. Not some politician who will not make a living off her misfortune. How many statues can we make of this woman? Federally funded statues of course.
I think the Navy SEAL who shot Osama Bin Laden should be the Person of the Year.
In yet another example of the Dannie media doing its best to slither another election, MSNBC can't help itself but to label Romney's slogan of Keep American American a KKK type mouthing. Now today, after the damage is done, MSNBC apologizes for "extremely poor judgement". I don't think it was that. I think they just got a tingle down their leg. No doubt it will happen again.
Didnt the Ayotolla get it in the 80's?
Those were the protesters that raped the CBS corespondent that Time threw the person of the year award to. And the guy that took a dump on the po-po car...he's in there too.
I agree with the idea to give it to the navy Seal that shot Osama!
It has to be George W. No other ex president three years out of office has ever been able to run the country - at least as Obama claims
This is occupy watertown NY...We agree with TIME magazines person of the year.
1. Because the protesters believe it or not have inspired a global movement to topple dictators and bring about political and economic change to the world.
2. We have stood up and raised our voices in hopes of being herd and having our demands meant.
3. All we ask is that we be able to trust our government and that no one man can be more supieriour than another...you may have more money or may own more land but in the end were all human beings and we all share the same planet.
MAUSER GIRL? OMG I'm in love for certain. How could such a babe exist in our community without me knowing about it? A woman with a controlled extractor, right here under my nose. I just wish I knew where she was. My Christmas wish list is out the window.
If you speak for a group such as occupy Watertown, then you must know where social services is located. 250 Arsenal Street. Please go down there, fill out some forms and get some FreeStuff. You're entitled.
IT's time that Time shuts down because of its idiotic choice of cover images. I hope nobody buys this rag!
The "Protesters" (complainers) want us all to be equal with the same income and privileges etc. That just might NOT be a democracy! Why should anybody want to become a success and have more money if 'they' want some of it?
I wouldn’t be as nearly pissed off if the Tea Party was named instead.
Actually the Time cover should have had the winner of the 'wet burka contest' in the 'land of dirt.'
The Tea Party represent many many many more people than the stinkniks. But Dannie's MSM managed to marginalize them. Expected.
I know what you mean 8:34PM. I'm glad there isn’t anything like a right wing media equivalent trying to marginalize or discredit OWS by spreading false rumors and innuendo.
Sounds like you have it figured out. But yeah, your right, the tp has definately been increasingly relegated to an unimportant and powerless position within our society.
Damn MSM!
