I wrote a thank you letter to voters and laid out my desire to be the "happy warrior" these next four years, making the system work and keeping the Council and staff focused on the future. Thank you again to all of you.

Now that the election is over you can get back to "telling it like it is" (at least your version) here on your blog. No more Milquetoast!
The WDT always changes the letters submitted to them. There's no reason to write them. Whatever you say ends up sounding like JBJohnson. Who would want that?

For a dumb right wing extremist or whatever you guys were portraying him as, he sure writes a good letter.
Basically saying that a flat tax is progressive by its very nature...as a person that earns 100 times more than you, pays 100 times more than you. Do you have to be an accountant to understand that?
I wrote one once....He made no changes to it. Maybe it's just yours?
They eased off from editing so much, CR. But I never went back. They run a middle school newspaper. Let them take their letters from Dannie Francis.
O I agree on the editing all over the area. When I was stupid and young I called in on that one show the Mayor had where people land based him on the Green deal. I said he was smart to take the bets but maybe just not a good friend. Plus he must have known something was up. 7 news grabbed the clip and just played "You must have known."....over and over on the air that night. They just played what made the Mayor look bad. I felt bad. But hell he pushed on and in the long run a smart person knows he was the happy warrior and is focused on our future....not the past.
