Then there is Ogdensburg, where the Maple City's Keystone Council wants to blame its city manager for the Knox Street/Rent Free flap...but they won't side with the mayor who wants to get rid of the manager.
That's because they would rather prop up the managers reign rather than side will Mayor Bill Nelson, who is fighting a long odds fight for reelection.
As the song says, 'how can anyone be right when everybody's wrong."

This fiasco as we all have been saying on your blog Jeff for several years is yet ANOTHER reason why systemic change and a GOOD house cleaning is needed at City Hall in the Burg.
This is a Ship of Fools that has resulted from voter apathy and abrogation of civic duty and failure to care about the future .
Altho this resembles a SNL routine ,it is shameful and HURTS the city and its taxpayers .
Ogdensburg has enough to overcome without these underwhelming politicians
The time for the mayor to lead the council to fire Sciorra was a couple of years ago.. Instead he supported every move this man made. Hes arrogant and certainly not people friendly in his actions. Nelsons own reluctance to act his his downfall.
Yes he will be beat at the polls and rightfully so. He has lost contact with the people in Ogdensburg and turned into a person who poses and postures for every occassion. Being a politican and a perfect one became his priority.. In this case he got boxed into a corner and came out swinging for his own self serving..
I agree he is now boxed in by councilmen who he has ignored and made look bad for years (and they love it).. Even Nicky sees the pleasure in tormenting his mentor..
I think Nelson should follow through and ask for a resolution and put the other counsilors on record..
Even Dan Skamperele cant be that naive.. I dont think anywa.
Also everyday more and more this entire affair has the appearance of criminal doings in city hall and with the local housing people..
No less than a independant investigation must be held
