Here's another disturbed person shot several times and it's immediately deemed "suicide by cop." The guy was wandering around the Daily Gazette newspaper in Schenectady and had a knife. He was mumbling. He was shot five times.

hmm..not sure what the thrust is here..the post story is scant on details,the schenectady story gives a more detailed version,and it is easy to second guess the officers who reported he lunged at them with a knife at close range without being there..apparently there is an internal investigation which include witnesses, so I wouldn't dismiss the reported story(considering the family confirmed he had been making suicidal statements)out of hand as a snap judgment until the facts are clear..
