Millionaire's Tax to Be Debated Again

With Wall Street "occupied" by those who want to well to do to pay more, it looks like Governor Cuomo is still intent on opposing a "millionaire's tax" when it comes up for renewal later this year. Assembly Speaker Silver wants the tax surcharge but tells Dicker he will not hold a budget hostage to get it.
The tax on high earners is feared to make NY less competitive and would drive the rich to move away. Advocates argue the wealthy are ripping off lower and middle income Americans and are not paying their fair share.

Good for Andy!
He should publicly apologize to Golisano for what the liberals and Davis did. And invite him back to be a full time New York citizen. and he should also thanks him for all the donations to New York causes like the children's hospital.

We live in a capitalistic society. It works. You can make as much as you can. So now if you succeed and make the big bucks the 'street folk' want a share? William B. Shockley was right.

Most of their daddies and mommies are back in NJ and Long Island making sure their trust funds are in good shape. How else would they have the bucks to go camping in NYC for weeks on end and party with their friends?

Oh yes, let's outlaw greed, Juston. Evil thoughts will come next. What I'd like to do is enforce Good Will on all, or impose immediate fines. The problem people like you have is the fact that our way of life has produced the best standard of living the world has ever known. Even people like you have to admit that. It has only been since the government solved all problems that our living standards have started to wane. Yet you blame the system. The problem is our own government, which is no longer ours. They've used our money to buy votes from special interests. People like you. You have a good one. Trouble is, everybody has a good one. Old, deaf, blind, stupid, smart, black, white, been here, just got here, tall, fat, ugly, red haired, daddy was rich, daddy was poor, no daddy, wimin, gays, kite flyers, people with lithsps, split ends, clubbed feet, bad skin, mall challenged, bad tans, blah blah. Everyone is entitled, and their check is written by the government and they earned their money. And you blame capitalism.

It’s not just the OWS movement that wants the wealthy to pay more – it seems most Americans, including a majority of Republicans are in agreement with the “dirty hippies.”

Americans in Poll Back Taxing the Wealthy:

“More than half of Republicans say wealthier Americans should pay more in taxes to bring down the federal budget deficit.”

“Fifty-three percent of self-identified Republicans back an increase in taxes on households making more than $250,000, a sentiment at odds with the party’s presidential candidates…" [snip]

More than two-thirds of all Americans back higher taxes on the rich and even larger numbers think Medicare and Social Security benefits should be left alone…” [snip]

More spinning by the communists.
Trying their darnedest to legitimize these wackos, by trying to find something they have in common with normal contributing members of society, such as the Tea Party.

That would be the "taxed enough already" party.

Hmm… I have observed one obvious difference though – the OWS people are better spellers.

But OWS proponents are more fickle when choosing to punctuate with em dash or ellipsis...and more apt to mistake a hyphen for a dash-and more apt to add superfluous spaces before ... and after.

Nice to hear from Dannie. snip
