Dirty People Occupy Wall Street

The Left's "Occupy Wall Street" demonstration is leaving a mess in a NYC park and the mayor says its chasing away business from the Big Apple. Meanwhile the demonstrations against corporate greed are creating a sanitation problems with one photo taken of a protestor defecating on a police car....
The demonstrations are the hard edge of the class warfare debate raging in national politics with the Obama Administration reportedly giving a wink of the eye to the protests as they focus attention on the issue of raising taxes on the rich.
Whether this is just a freak show or the beginning of the unraveling of society is an open question.

We need to solve this with predator drones in Kent state fashion.

The Tea Party started out by protesting against the failed financial system and government spending, particularly bailouts. They have now morphed into purely a movement against big government, a movement that is financed by big business and manipulated by a few well-funded groups (e.g., Tea Party Express). Though wrong on its merits, the Tea Party has been politically successful to date

The Occupy Wall Street (OWS) movement, if that word can be applied yet, is yet undefined. Its main target seems to be the financial system and the financial institutions whose short-sighted decisions cost the economy more than $14 trillion in lost wealth in 2008, far greater than federal debt at the time, and cost the economy eight million jobs. These complaints, dropped by the Tea Party through co-option, is finding a new voice in the OWS movement. Whether it succeeds as a political force remains to be seen. The sanitary criticisms are irrelevant.

If these protesters focused their energy on getting a job and earning money it would lessen their worries about Wall Street.

It is disgusting what is happening and goes against everything we were raised on; work hard, earn a living - the American dream.

Now it is let someone else work and mooch off the system.

Obama supporters say Bush ruined the country! Obama is doing more damage in 4 years than Bush ever thought of doing.

11:02--you're one sick m-ker. Even if that was supposed to be some sort of joke.
The dirty people, mayor, are sitting up in those offices on Wall Street laughing at people like you that protect them while they're robo-trading another million or 2 into their bank accts.
Paying lobbyists to make sure republicans will continue with the de-regulation.

The “dirty” people on Wall Street are comprised of Americans representing a diverse group of people cutting across all demographics of the social strata consisting of Democrats, Republicans, Independents, Liberals, Conservatives, Veterans, employed, unemployed, and young and old alike... and yes, even some Tea Party supporters.

In fact, my favorite protest signs that I've seen are the ones that say "No longer a Republican" I think that says a lot.

They all have one thing in common -- they are there in a peaceful attempt to clean up the “filth” that preceded them.

Understand this: all social change must be unrecognizable while it is evolving. In fact, if it appeared with a clear set of objectives to achieve and a mission statement, it would not be a protest, nor would it be populist movement -- it would be a narrative and an activity engineered by an existing social or political force.

This is why the Tea Party that began as a populist force existed for only about two months. Unfortunately, it quickly became hijacked and owned by the old elements of the right wing extremists groups with a specific set of directions.

Think of it this way -- OWS is a movement and like the waters, it ebbs and tides and as it grows stronger it will find its direction.

And once again let's take some bad things from the movement and use it to make them all out like they are just left leaning dirty hippies. I have news for you, Mayor Graham, it's not just the Left that is occupying wall street. It's people from both sides that fed up with how things are going.

This movement is not surprising , and it is cross generational and cuts across all former party lines .

Frankly the middle class has been systematically marginalized by the 1 percenters ,who now control greater than 25 percent of the net wealth . And the income gap has doubled during the last decade .

Most of us have NOT been enriched by the greed on Wall st . We were not bailed out by them or the banks , rather the reverse is true. Our $$ saved their greedy hides .

So it comes as no surprise that many who feel that system has failed and they are being screwed by the very people our $$$ bailed out

So we'll see what develops

I applaud the effort BUT realize it needs to FOCUS on specific recommendations for legislation and action

This is just the takers and the free stuff crowd trying to stick it to the makers. And the libtards are spinning and trying with all their might to give this whining some legitimacy by trying to group these dammed dirty apes in with Teaparty and other legitimate movements.

NY34inMD, please eat something solid. To equat the professional slugs protesting with Daddie's money with the TeaParty is desperate, even for the likes of you. How do you explain the fact that so many of them have been arrested while arrests never seem to happen at Tea gatherings? So much for your thoughtful, lawful civil disobedience. And 2:33, the hijacking you speak of regarding the TP is only the figment of MSM's unfair and inaccurated portrayal of that group. The Tea folks are called racists because they represent a very real threat to the Obama class, which desires a continuation of tax and spend and hope and change. The freaks are coddled by MSM. As do you. You're not nearly as radical as you seem to believe. Growing an obtrusive and wasteful government is not revolutionary thinking, though MD23inOz would love to present it that way.

And Peacepoet. Nice to see you. But really now. There are few conservatives at your little occupations. Most of them are still working to pay your bills. When they stop, you will really have something to worry about.

Libtard????-- there's a sample of your bagger intellect. I'd estimate about a 5th grade level. (sorry, 5th graders)
I'm guessing that 98% of the OWS people have a higher degree of education than this clown.
And 100%, ...I'd bet,... have more class.

10:02---tri-corner hats and rifles at rallys is your tea bagger style. Coddling the derivative lifestyle is what they're buying into. They're flat-out dumb, and easily used. What was an anti gov. agenda when they started screaming is turning into a republican leadership "thank you god for these guys" manipulation of the system. Boehner and McConnell have seen that these bagger people can be useful. And they're using the hell out of them.
And I didn't see many "daddy's little rich" kids in the pics I've seen of the OWS. I see working people that lost their jobs to republican/Romney LOVING business people in India, China, Malaysia,etc--and now Brazil's in the mix... the list's getting longer.

Libtard crosses the line
but bagger is perfectly fine.
Ironic 2c,
Jobs was killed by PC
While libtards kill jobs everyday with their left leaning way.

I don't use the word libtard. But I have a good idea what its about. With all the names libs use, please spare us the whine. Feeling sorry for yourself doesn't cut it. But if your feelings are hurt, apply for some sort of benefit package. Working people will be glad to pay for it. Then you can go buy some soap and quit crapping on police cars.

Considering the Boston Tea Party was originally known as TEA Destruction, and vandalism, trespassing and destruction of private property -- which was solely a push back against the monopolistic behaviors of a major Corporation (East India Company) were common place -- the OWS people resemble the Tea Party of old far more than the current corporate owned and funded Tea- Baggers.

KEEP THE PRESSURE ON !! Patrick Henry said it best and today our politics is toxic our reps only represent the special interests who fund their PACS and yes Wall st controls DC, Albany and the rest of the system.

So what ole Pat was talking about still is in effect today despite the raucous rhetoric from extreme points of view .

We in "the EXCLUDED Middle Class" foot the bill for everything, work very hard and have seen our incomes and investments take a serious hit .

YET the One Percenters are widening the income gap and the banks and wildcatters on Wall st are using "OUR bailout $$" and are the root cause of the problem by their excess

Apparently this entire protest movement is too complex for your average armchair pundit to understand.

They want something undemanding such as the Tea Party slogan to “take back America” represented by a media bimbo selling her own brand of hallucinogenic tea.

Of course, hardly anyone bothered to peel back the layers to figure out what the hell “take back America” actually meant.

But it didn’t require much thought and it was easy to say and repeat and fit the simplistic nature of some Americans.

8:32PM and 10:02PM typify that way of thinking; they are still held captive by their corporate owners and the left/right paradigm. They just don’t get it and probably never will.

I applaud these people, young and old, from all different walks of life exercising their Constitutional right of freedom of assembly, and I admire their tenacity in the face of an ignorant and increasingly dumbed down establishment.

The tea party took back the house and they neutered the liberal senate and they took back a bunch of governorships...they took back America and put it back in the hands of the makers. These takers AKA stoners haven't a clue. They will not remember to get up and vote so they will not change a thing.

They are crying because they cannot get free stuff from Wall Street. They thought they could collect pensions for life with underfunded contribution plans by earning ridiculous returns on stocks. They thought they could borrow 100k for college and take BS basket weaving courses and drop out after two semesters because they are too lazy to go to class and too dumb to pass the class and wall Street would give them a cushy job when they see the half a degree they earned on the resume. They thought wrong.

Many of the protesters are professionals, payed for being there by unions and special interests. I love watching them cry about Wall Street while punching their apple computers and going to hotels at night in their Volvos. Fine group they are. Go get 'em you silver spoon kids.

"They are crying because they cannot get free stuff from Wall Street."---These OWS guys didn't bundle those derivatives, sell them, rebundle, re-sell, do it again and again until they didn't even know what they were trading. And crashed the world's economy.
The Wall Street guys did that.
So,... all you "free stuff" A-holes,... looks to me like the Wall Street boys are the ones getting themselves some free stuff.
Been doing it because people like you are too dense to see. Will keep doing it because people like you are too dense to see.
That's why they love you people. And that's why they pay your reps.

Talk about adding insult to injury:

“While most Americans aren’t expecting their incomes to rise with the cost of living in the near future, more than 60 percent of Wall Street professionals say they anticipate their bonuses will be higher or the same as the bonus they earned in 2010, according to a recent survey…”

“Still there are some that think the reforms haven’t gone far enough to curb Wall Street excesses like bonuses, which came out to an average of $128,530 in 2010. Protesters, calling themselves Occupy Wall Street, have been camped out in Manhattan’s financial district since Sept. 17 demonstrating against corporate greed and income inequality among other things. The movement has inspired similar demonstrations across the country…” [snip]

Wow! Average bonus in 2010 was $128,530.00.

Source: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/10/10/wall-street-bonus-survey_n_1003641.html

It gets better… “Last year, the median pay for CEOs at 200 major companies was a whopping $9.6 million, the New York Times reports. That’s a 12% increase from 2009. Profits are also up at American businesses—a full 29.2% in the fourth quarter, marking the fastest growth in more than 60 years. But there’s no trickle-down yet, as many of those CEOs are still not hiring.” [snip]

Source: http://www.newser.com/story/116050/executive-pay-in-2010-average-ceo-compensation-was-96m.html

Meanwhile, Grandma and Grandpa haven’t received a Social Security COLA since January 1, 2008.

Is it illegal to give out these obscene bonuses? No, it’s not -- because the existing laws allow for it.

Now take a look at this Ratio/Pay list:
Country........Ratio of pay, CEO:Average worker
Japan...........11:1
Germany......12:1
France..........15:1
Italy................20:1
Canada........20:1
South Africa..21:1
Britain...........22:1
Mexico..........47:1
Venezuela....50:1
US.................475:1

WTF-The United States is...475:1

Source: http://creativeconflictwisdom.wordpress.com/2011/10/07/ration-of-ceo-pay-to-average-worker-by-country/

And you wonder why there are a lot of pissed off people on Wall Street?

And, if you think that corporate money has no influence on the policy decisions of our legislatures then you probably exist in an alternate universe like 5:16 pm.

On a lighter note, apparently huckster Glenn Beck in a recent radio broadcast is telling his listeners that OWS hoodlums are going to drag the successful people in America into the street and kill them.

Here’s the quote:

"Capitalists, if you think that you can play footsies with these people, you're wrong. They will come for you and drag you into the streets and kill you...they're Marxist radicals...these guys are worse than Robespierre from the French Revolution...they'll kill everybody."

Note to the OWS General Assembly:

Please don't drag the rich into the street and kill them. But if you do -- you know where to start.

Anonymous said...

Please don't...but do? Nod wink?
That sums up the takers mentality.

What pray tell does someone's income on WS have to do with yours? You want for nothing and enjoy the most luxuries of any middle class and poverty class on the planet of all time. The very notion that the USA has a opverty class is ridiculous. You conveniently forget to include all the free stuff you get as part of your income when you do the comparisons. That's right...in the old days we actually had to pay for the music you steal today. We actually had to pay for our phone calls by the minute. We had to pay for our guitar lessons and piano lessons. We had to buy our encyclopedias and dictionaries.

I would just love to send all you crybabies hippies back, 2 or 3 decades to the utopia you think you lost. When everyone did not have a microwave or the internet or the cell phone or free music...all made possible by WS. When every house did not have two cars and every house did not have 2.5 mcmansion bathrooms. When you actually had to cook your own food and eat out only once in a blue moon. And give you one of those factory jobs at the air brake or another sweat shop that you think was the American dream. You damned dirty jealous hippies are clueless.

The fact is that CEO's have to earn more money today because the price of Picasso's and Dom Perignon has skyrocketed...due to an ever increasing number of millionaires our great economy has provided for workers to become. Crybabies need not apply.

So let me see if I have this straight.

Spontaneous, grassroots protesters living in parks under tarpaulins, challenging the supremacy of corporate control of our political system = Anti-American…

But…

Costumed, sign waving protesters, charter-bused in by corporate lobby groups, calling for toppling the duly elected President and Congress of the UnitedStates= "patriotic."

Is that about right, Archie?

The libtards keep grasping at straws, trying to point out similarities between the patriot Tea Baggers that took back America and these treasonous Flea Baggers that want to ruin America.

In Denver the Flea Baggers passed a resolution to stand in solidarity with the American Indian Movement, to decolonize Denver:
