The Anonymous are in Full Bloom in Dishing Dirt

Since its political season, there are lots of comments I don't post...certainly about me or my opponent....
That may be censorship and I guess it is....It's the pressure of trying to be responsible and fair...and the knowledge that when I win I have to work with my opponent in January.
There's also the sentiment that just how much crap about one self does one have to read or listen to because they are seeking public office....
The MSM routinely gets "tips" about this or that...Just this week I know they had to quash one story they didn't think was fair. I am sure they get the same people that write to me, with all sorts of stories that make my life more exciting than it ever was.
We should just have to fill out a questionnaire at time of announcement listing arrests, jail time, DWI's, divorces, bankruptcies, liens, lawsuits, and number of times you had lust in your heart.
I am saving up the comment posts I choose not to print...Just to see how many ever see the light of day in real media.

One good thing you can count on at the end of all this Mayor Graham....You still have several friends...including me...Don't worry about the rest....They might not do so well.

Its something we all deal with in everyday life too. What do you believe and what do you dismiss. What do you discuss and what do you keep quiet about. If you have control of some form of media the pressures must be even higher than for the average person. Rumors. Everybody loves 'em until they hit home.

I can't help myself...I don't find Smith likable in the least.
And even if I did find him likeable, I find it distasteful, egotistical and ambitious for him to run against you as mayor. He brings nothing new that he could not do from is current seat and can point out no genuine reason why he wants to replace you. You should take it personal too.

Besides...just because it is negative and personal does not make it dirt. Things in a persons past can be forgivable but still reveal something about character.

...but you are willing to print anon posts bashing your opponent, I see.

Up to a point as it is my blog and this is a competitive race...However there are many I don't consider appropriate or beneficial to the relations on the Council come January so I let them slide.
Its a judgement call.

What does anonymity have to do with animosity?
Either the dirt is relevant and verifiable to a degree...
or it isn’t.
It’s somehow "unfair" not to know who said it?
Because you can’t attack the person physically or verbally in kind?

What do you mean by this Anonymous one who said things? Isn't that your name? You confuse an old man from Uganda. I thought your name was Mr. Said.

Does anyone have any idea what Juston just tried to say?

I think Juston was saying something like this:

"I'm not afraid", he says
Good for you!
Just to give you a little advice I have given people in higher office before (not that they have listened)...
Don't respond so much,it does no real good to you. It just shows the public that your flustered by the comments.

I am not saying this is your first rodeo, it's just that things have changed a little since your last one...
