Threaten all you want Sarah...The First Amendment says the media can say whatever they want about you as you are a public figure....Well, a celebrity, since you don't hold office...
To bring a libel or defamation suit requires a lot of money and lawyers don't take those cases on contingency...
When it comes to unscrupulous or unprincipled journalism, you just have to grin and bear it...That's the price you pay for fame in a free society...and the people who print it have $500 an hour attornies on retainer...so unless you can outspend them....You lose.

I don't know, Jeff. People can say what they want about public figures, but can they make up stuff and present it as fact? I mean I can call you a swine but can I call you a bank robber? This may very well be an interesting trial case. But you can be sure the publisher, and certainly the author, won't have a dime if and when it comes time to pay sanctions. It will be just like Al Sharpton. They will find a way to hide or claim to be a church or something.

think it is a little offputting that some dude can move in next to you,spy on you,print maybe facts and maybe not just to make money..it it was done to any of us we would be ticked off at least..yeah I know she is a public figure and not someone I would vote for but this crap goes too far.
