I was at Pete's after the meeting and ran into Colin Burns who is in college but just starting an internship with Senator Chuck Schumer. His mother is very proud and should be....Young operatives are always so idealistic.
Meanwhile at the Council meeting tonight, there was a discussion on the city's priorities for the new Economic Development Council....It's such a fast track process and its important the City be in the game as far as lobbying for its proposals.
Council also discussed fence laws and decided on a private firm to do crow hazing.
Council also agreed to demolish three city owned properties, including the home of the late Rose Ward. Remember when Lt. Governor Krupsak stayed there for a night...
Not a real eventful Council meeting.....

Burns is doing an internship with the Schmuck? What does he learn, how to hover in front of a camera and run his mouth? That is an extremely disappointing developement. Sometimes you just have to draw the line somewhere with the people you associate with. But he's a young man.

The reeeely big news is Rep Owens supports The Great and Annointed One's new $447billion spending plan to create something. I think it's jobs. Now that's impressive. Owens really surprises me on that one. We've spent a gazzillion on all kinds of government kick back and boondoggle programs that haven't worked and Owens/Pelosi thinks this one is a good idea. I am so impressed. What an independent thinker. You have to give the man credit. He rolls over on command just when they need him to. Woof.
