A person who says he witnessed the dog attack offered this account...Since media accounts are sketchy, any information might be of interest.
To the ignorant person who believes that the 2 year old baby attacked the dog first- Actually I was there. I saw the mother of the baby ask if it would be ok for her son to pet the dog because many other children were petting him. The owner of the dog said that her dog was a big teddy bear and yes, it was fine. The baby merely pet the dog gently and the dog turned around and attacked him in the face. Maybe the dog wasn't a monster before this horrifying attack that at least 100 people witnessed. But now it is. Just like a murderer isn't a murderer until they make that first kill. That dog needs to be put down so this doesn't happen again!!

Well shoot the dog and the owner and be done with it. I'm sick of this story already. Accidents happen. Dogbites happen. Dogs should be banned from the Farmer's Market. Sue the owner of the dog. Give 75% of the money to the lawyers, 20% to the Docs and 5% to the kid. Be done with it. Whataya guess that's exactly what will happen? But only after we have to listen to this story for years and years and years. It's life people.
If you just pull out all the dogs teeth then you could let the dog live without worrying about him behaving the way we know that breed behaves. He could still eat gravy and live a long pitbul life.
8:48 has the perfect solution. Heck, the owners of such dogs have no teeth, why would the dogs themselves?
Your sick of the story after only a few day's thats great. Think of the baby and his family, they have to live with this the rest of their lives.I have to laugh at these people who say the baby attacked the dog, look at the picture that shows how big the dog is compared to the ownners baby. That two year old is not much bigger, he's really going to hurt the dog right. nobody's asking to shut anything down, just leave your dogs at home, they don't belong there, they don't care about the experience they just come along because you bring them. they are animals, they are not people figure it out.
I think we are going to have to live with this the rest of our lives too, 9:32. Maybe if we send the injured kid a check every month for the rest of his life all will be well. I can see it now. Channel 7 can do a follow up every five years connecting his low math scores to his face bite. And if in HS he fumbles the ball on the two yard line you KNOW its because of ADD caused by terror caused by PitBull "itis". Give 'em another check for that too. If only, if only, oh my God. That poor baby. I'm sooo upset.
Does ya think life has accidents in it? The child will be fine. Life will go on. We will be ok. Are you ok? Call your facebook friends and check, are they OK? I may not sound it but I am very upset about all this.
The owners have no teeth...[giggle...an' spit milk out my nose]
I am sick of this story too. Accidents happen.
People accidentally breed the most vicious dogs to have the most vicious bites and most powerful jaws and then accidentally get one for an accidental pet. Because the owners were accidentally born with nothing to offer this world but a bad a$$ dog.and then accidentally bring it to a crowded public place with a two year old child being in the way.
Maybe some of us are over careful in life when it comes to our kids. I never once let my kids go up to a stranger or his or her dog. When we went to the zoo....I never once allowed the kids to go in and play with the bears. I never once told them to ride their bikes int the road. Check Newzjunky today...7 year old riding in front of a cab. Parent....What? Sleeping. I don't want to blame anyone. But kids need a firm hand. Dods need a firm hand. It's almost clear here....GET FIRM HANDS PEOPLE.
I can't beliueve some of these comments !! Really ?? The only thing you people can think about is how sick you are of the story and that the owners have no teeth ?? There is a 2 yr old baby that will deal with this the rest of his life and his parents and family that will have to deal with it the rest of theirs. This isn't about the money , it's about being a responsible pet owner. Look around at the your children or the children in your families, think about how this would effect them or you if it was them that got bite. Now rethink your comments. My prayers are with Indigo and his family.

Agree...a lot of the comments have very little to do with the issue. But human nature being what it is...what else would you expect?
Notice how every idiot prays at times like this? On most days, prayer is ridiculed as something only stupid people do, but here we have an accident and now these emotional wastes flock to religion to help settle themselves. I feel so bad for the little kid who must suffer for eternity forever from now on. I pray for him. I hope he wins big in his lawsuit. Earth to those suffering breakdowns over this, stuff happens. You could be next.
Luke Skywalker to Yoda....I don't believe it.
Yoda.....That's why you fail.
CR is on it!
What was the name of the kid, OR the dog.
We gotta get a law named after either, or BOTH of them.
