An earthquake that causes no serious damage and is barely noticeable is enough to prompt panic in the cities of the Northeast....Like I said, I didn't notice it, but a city employee told me she noticed some shaking in her office on the southwest side of the building......
We all survived, and tomorrow its business as usual with a series of meetings for me and miscellaneous other activities.
The funniest part were the assurances there would be no tsumanis.....It was a land based squake...What did they think, that the Tidal Basin would overflow.
QUAKE!!

I know some folks whose plane trips were disrupted. Otherwise, it was a lot of hype.
I'll betcha Bush caused it. Or the TeaParty.
My daughter lives in Virginia. She said she had a few things knocked off the shelves, a broken glass or two. Her daughter slept right through it. I happened to be in the woods cutting firewood at the time. Felt a slight tremor. Didn't pay any attention to it at the time. Makes for a good news story. The wags can fill up airtime for the next few days.
Your daughter, in Virginia, is she OK?
Yes she is fine, as are the grandkids. No damage to their home. Although they did condem a couple of buildings in Culpepper, which is only about 20 miles from her. Thanks for asking.
