Tell me this won't end up in court...The Poughkeepsie City School Board has made uniforms mandatory in order to keep students focused on academics....increase school spirit and reduce bullying....
What, no baggy pants or backwards hats...or streetwalker attire ?...Just navy, white, black and khaki....
That's why so many employers have dress codes..because the alternative is ghastly.
These Poughkeepsie kids are being done a favor, and lets have the teachers wearing ties too.

I know you're a fan of the ACLU Jeff, but they're the ones who will file the lawsuit. You can't have it both ways.
this always seemed like a promising idea to me. interesting to see how it turns out.
It won't turn out at all, Kelwit. The entire effort will be stopped by lawsuits before it can even be implemented. You know that. So it's easy to say you're for it cause you know your ilk won't let it happen.
just keep the stupid names coming. keep going with the idiocy. keep showing us what the tea party is all about. you're doing us a favor.
I just be pointing out your inconsistancies, Kelmkit. Tea has little to do with it. Intellectual dishonesty does. You say you are for such steps, but your ilk never supports tougher standards of this type. I notice you do not debate that fact. You simply go into your Tea Party routine. Weak.
dearest troll,
as i've said over and over and over, i'd be more than happy to have an adult discussion with you -- once you're ready to act like an adult. but not until then. no point engaging on substance with someone who can't get past first-grade name calling.
but like i say, i don't really mind the name calling either. every time you open your mouth you reveal what a joke you are. conservatives everywhere must be very proud to call you one of their own. vote tea party! vote troll!
I will always be here for you, to point out your inconsistancies. That's my job in life. Libs really stand for nothing at all.
glad to see you're willing to act a little more like an adult, anon.
as for "inconsistancies," look, this is kind of ridiculous. if someone were to sue to try to block the uniforms policy, then... i would probably disagree with them. or maybe i'd carefully consider their argument for opposing the policy and change my mind! either way, there's no intellectual dishonesty anywhere to be found.
Me? Adult like, you must have me confused with someone else.
A uniform policy at a school will be shot down by liberals, who will file a law suit. Watch. It matters not whether it would benefit the kids. Perhaps you need to rethink your knee jerk adherence to liberal policies.
i guess there are two things that need to be said.
first, if the uniform policy is challenged in court, how on earth do you know that it will be liberals challenging it? i mean, if you're worried about the aclu, then you should know that they defend people of all stripes, conservative as well as liberal.
second:
Perhaps you need to rethink your knee jerk adherence to liberal policies.
in all candor that's a pretty unsavvy thing to say. it's unsavvy because right here in this thread, right before your eyes, i've already shown that i don't have a knee jerk adherence to liberal policies (or at least what you think passes for liberal policies).
and what's perhaps even more embarrassing for you, all it really shows is how much you need to rethink your adherence to hating anyone and anything you perceive as liberal.
