Next up for Mitt Romney is Rick Perry

He may not be everyone's warm and fuzzy but Mitt Romney is still king of the Gang if Eight....The group of GOP hopefuls debating in Iowa provided no breakthrough for the second and third tier candidates, with only Newt Gingrich delivering the rhetorical flair he is capable of.
Bachmann and Pawlenty were too enmeshed in each other, while other Morman in the race, Jon Huntsman, showed no flair...
That leaves the ninth man...Texas Governor Rick Perry....as the likely biggest challenge to Mr. Romney.
Since most of us don't know a lot about him, we will have to do some quick learning.

I hate 'em all. They have no leadership. They can't read teleprompters well enough. They aren't our first .... anything. And many of them are ...Christians. I hate that with a passion. None of the parties I go to like that stuff.

So really than …it comes down to…who is the better “snake oil salesman?”

Romney in Iowa…

-Romney: There’s various ways of [preserving Social Security and Medicare’s solvency]. One is we could raise taxes on people.
Audience: Corporations! Corporations!

-Romney: Corporations are people, my friend.

Audience: No they’re not.

-Romney: Of course they are. Everything corporations earn ultimately goes to people. -- Where do you think it goes?

Audience: It goes into your pocket!

-Romney: Whose pockets? Whose pockets? People’s pockets. Human beings, my friend.

This is the part that really smells… “Everything corporations earn ultimately goes to people. Where do you think it goes?”

Really Mitt… you mean they are not greedy self serving entities sitting on record profits with the current tax system overwhelmingly slanted in their favor?

The only “pockets” that are being filled by corporations are Mr. Romney’s and other like minded politicians that have sold out to big money interests at the expense of the American people and our economy.

Keep in mind…a majority of both Republicans and Democrats, including our President… are corporate whores that are bought and paid for… so his comments come as no surprise.

And you can take THAT to the bank!

We're late getting started on this Texas guy so we're going to have to amp up the hatred quickly. Like right away. C'mon, calling all group thinkers, party liners. You don't have to wait for the talking points to arrive in the mailbox. You know what you'll be told to say. Get crackin'.

Nah...no need for all that... he'll crash and burn all by himself... even if he is a saint.

You can count on it.

Remember the last time we thought a Gov. from Texas was the answer to all our problems?

Rick Perry - Liz Cheney 2012

- hell, why not?

So we're going to hate him because he's from Texas? That'll work. You love the other guy just because he's the Thug from Chicago and he has a D next to his name. It all balances out.

Hate?

hate
v. hat•ed, hat•ing, hates
v.tr.
1.
a. To feel hostility or animosity toward.
b. To detest.

dis•ap•prove
v. dis•ap•proved, dis•ap•prov•ing, dis•ap•proves
v.tr.
1. To have an unfavorable opinion of; condemn.
2. To refuse to approve; reject.

Personally… I could care less if he has a D an R an I… or any other letter of the alphabet next to his name. I “disapprove” of Gov. Perry because I disagree with his ideas.

What about you 11:17pm…do you “hate” or “disapprove” of the “Thug from Chicago?”

Or… maybe you “love” Perry because he has an “R” next to his name.

Or… maybe you’re a sock puppet?

Eh?

You gotta hate mitt because corporations are baaaaaaaaaaaaaad.
Never mind that the stock is owned by people. Those people are baaaaaaaaad for owning stock.

President Romney is going to be a great president.

Go, Ron, Go!!

Push those evil NeoCon Republican slugs right back into the Democrat Party that birthed them.

It is imperative to restore individual liberties & achieve national peace.

Funny how you GOP-suddenly-discovered-Perry crowd neglect to recall he is from the AlGore camp.

Remember that NFL player, He Hate Me? Well that one guy really hates me. Just because I point out hatred of all things conservative. Imagine that. And I must get to him. Cause he gets sooo upset.

Which policy do you hate so much about Perry? The one where they created so many jobs, or the fact that they believe in God? One of them things has you vedddy upset.

Eh?

While dealing with over 8000 out of controlled wild fires in Texas this past April Saint Perry sprang into action and issued this proclamation:

“WHEREAS, the state of Texas is in the midst of an exceptional drought, with some parts of the state receiving no significant rainfall for almost three months, matching rainfall deficit records dating back to the 1930s ... NOW, THEREFORE, I, RICK PERRY, Governor of Texas, under the authority vested in me by the Constitution and Statutes of the State of Texas, do hereby proclaim the three-day period from Friday, April 22, 2011, to Sunday, April 24, 2011, as Days of Prayer for Rain in the State of Texas. I urge Texans of all faiths and traditions to offer prayers on that day for the healing of our land, the rebuilding of our communities and the restoration of our normal way of life.”

Of course…for all it was worth... he could just as easily stuck his thumb up his a$$ and sang Hosanna.

How did God respond? Well… by dumping a ton of rain on other parts of the country.

Oh…and as an added bonus he crushed the living daylights out of several states with numerous tornadoes just for the hell of it.

God…what a kidder.

Too bad Saint Perry wasn’t around during the dust bowl… just think of all the suffering and misery he would have saved those people by talking to the voices in his head.

Of course if you’re a member of the Flat Earth Society… like 1:36 pm is… it all makes perfect sense.

So…if you like the idea of a theocratic style of Government... than by all means vote for Saint Perry.

Don’t worry 1:36 pm… I’m praying for ya...even if you are a hater.

Kool-Aid anyone?

Well, all of this discussion about the flaws and strong points of the various Republican hopefuls is quite interesting and a part of what makes this counrty the great Nation it is. It also shows that there is some real interest for a change, in who is going to be the next President. The last election was sort of Ho-Hum because about everybody considered the two choices as between Dumb and Dumber. Just remember that most of what has been said above would get you stood in front of a firing squad or a long, slow torturous death in a prison in a good share of the world and how fortunate we are to live in a country where we can state our opinions in such a manner. Except for that 14%, whoever they are, I think we can all agree that the worst of the bunch, in spite of their flaws, would be far superior to that thing currently sitting in the White House.

I'm with ya, 3:39. Who could be so stupid as to offer a prayer at a time when the state is confronted with a wildfire. Those hated Christians again. Why, you are on it brother. You are a very together individual. The pride of your family, and certainly yourself, I'm sure. Don't be too proud. Spend some time thinking about it.

Did you notice when the five 10th Mountain soldiers were killed today, the first thing the guys wanted was the services of their chaplain. And why not. Why don't you libs all join together and make fun of these soldiers? How stupid they are, praying at a time like this. C'mon, now's your chance to put somebody down.

Huh? Does anybody have a clue to what 11:12 is talking about?

Oh, I get it… use a tragedy to make a political point that has absolutely nothing to do with the discussion at hand.

How pathetically sick and desperate... where’s your shame?

Oh, that’s right…you must not have any. And you represent what political party?

Oh no, Mr 2:29. YOU are the one who takes every opportunity to judge others' religious beliefs. It is you who injected politics into this. It is you who decided Christianity was a sign of stupidity. Now is your opportunity to expand on your observations. Please, feel free to do so. Now is a choice time. You want to make fun of other people and their beliefs, but only when it is politically expedient to do so. Brave individual. I have no concern what so ever what party you belong to. As I'm not really concerned with politics. You're the one who is so fixated with that.

I hear silence from the Christian haters. I'm sure it is adviseable to wait for a more comfortable time to level fashionable hatred. At least people who believe get a short break from the ridicule.

Mrs.12:42... Look at you own words, particularly your first statement from your previous post…

August 14, 2011 11:12 PM...
YOU SAID...

"Why don't you “libs” all join together and make fun of these soldiers? How stupid they are, praying at a time like this”...

Then on August 15, 2011 12:42 PM...
YOU SAID...

“YOU are the one who takes every opportunity to judge others' religious beliefs. It is you who injected politics into this”…

And…

"I have no concern what so ever what party you belong to. As I'm not really concerned with politics. You're the one who is so fixated with that."…

FAILED!!

Earth to 12:42… time for a reality check!

The last time I looked this was and is a political blog open for discussion and opinions on a variety of subjects. No one person has a monopoly on the truth… the issues are subject to discuss, debate, argue, question, dispute… what have you.

The difference being… you made a conscience decision to politicize and exploit a terrible tragedy in a desperate and cheap attempt to make your own selfishly motivated point… entirely irrelevant to the discussion;… “Next up for Mitt Romney is Rick Perry.”

No shame? No surprise.

Perhaps you have poor comprehension skills and your unable to focus on the topic… more likely, you’re just full of s**t and a petty opportunist that likes to take cheap shots with your hopelessly pathetic brand of manufactured nonsense and distorted sense of reality.

One thing is for sure… you must not be very well grounded in your own beliefs… to be so intolerant of other view points. Are you ambivalent?

Isn’t that characteristic though 12:42… the people that wear their beliefs on their sleeve are the least tolerant of all? (That’s an observation…try not to take it personal).

Thank you for proving my point though.

Please, get a grip...you are embarrassing yourself… and whatever the hell it is, YOU pretend not to represent.

You can do better.

10:00 pm, relax…

I love Christians… especially the “Jim Jones” variety from Texas.

I also am very fond of Santa Clause, Peter Rabbit and the tooth fairy…

Did I say I love Christians?

Anonymous said...

Oh yes, now Christians are of the "Jim Jones" variety. And people who believe are related to the Santa Claus (please not no E, a clause is a grammatical term), Peter Rabbbit, and the Tooth Fairy. 12:39, please, keep talking. You offer a balanced and respectful view of others' beliefs. By all mean, go on. You represent the progressive viewpoint quite effectively.

11:28 My experience has been when people have to use a lot of words to explain themselves they reveal they are on shakey ground. You sir, have issues, and most of them are are with the corner you've painted yourself in. You can't have it both ways. You cannot repeatedly ridicule people who believe then trot out a supposed respect for some, the troops, when it is politically expedient to do so. You and yours do so continuously. Your message is clear. Believers are stupid. Then you trot out prayer on demand whenever it suits you. You portray Christians as limited individuals who aren't up to your intellectual standards. I am simply expecting you to live up to your own words. The fact that you find it uncomfortable is something you will have to deal with.

On another note, I do appreciate your growing habit of copying other people's posts then attempting to spin the contents. It's a new approach. Trouble is, it reprints your opponent's original words, making your arguments all the more difficult to follow. It might work though. It's more of a compliment to the opposing point of view.

Hey 2:22pm-
Can you tell me why do you hate christians with a passion?

“You portray Christians as limited individuals who aren't up to your intellectual standards. I am simply expecting you to live up to your own words. The fact that you find it uncomfortable is something you will have to deal with.”

11:17 pm- Shouldn’t you be less concerned about my “supposed standards”… and more concerned about your own and the group you claim to represent. Or, has your sense of reasoning become so diluted and prejudiced by your extreme views that you are unable to see that is precisely your problem…

Fundamentalist Christians Spank Child to Death In The Name Of God!

And while I am well aware that the majority of self proclaimed Christians don’t manifest their personal detachment to the extreme… this is just further proof of the severe psychosis manifested among some pious fundamentalist Christians as a serious mental disorder in which contact with reality is missing or highly distorted.

Having an illogical conclusion that their imaginary sky God is telling them to “pray for rain” or “pray-away-the gay” … or in this particular case, severely beat their children… resulting in a young child being beaten and tortured to death… is further evidence of an acute level of religious psychosis and lack of objectivity practiced by a growing number of fanatical fun-duh-mental-ist and political right wing religious nut-jobs.

Maybe responsible child placement agencies should weed out and disqualify any prospective foster parents who subscribe to religious and medieval style punishments as being mentally incompetent?

One Final Note:

“I am simply expecting you to live up to your own words. The fact that you find it uncomfortable is something you will have to deal with.”

Thank you… 11:17 pm, I could not have said it better.

If there is a hell… I hope there is a special place reserved for this filth!!
