Cuomo Slashes Big Pay Commission Plums for Insiders

No more cushy jobs at the Liquor Authority and the Civil Service Commission.....Is Governor Cuomo taking away all hopes and aspirations of the political class ?

If he is, it's about time. The Founding Fathers considered poltical office a civic duty that you performed for a limited time and then got back to your private life, not a career. High time we started moving back in that direction.

Where will he appoint the next Dede and Darrel types if he gets rid of these type jobs? I guess it is a good bet he will keep a few of those jobs in tact.

So the City hired the Former director of the SLA??? Why dont we just ask the State Liquor Authority? or have Ted Ford do it.

Let's not minimize what Cuomo has done. This is big news and a good deal of credit is due Mr Cuomo. If this indeed takes place. I remember talking with the SLEOC people years ago. They met a few times a year, made 6 figures a year, and did absolutely nothing. They had ex NYSUT Thugs and golf club officers on board, all to pad their retirement check. Which we are paying for now and forever. It stunk. Let's give the Gov credit for doing something worthwhile.
