I began my first week as a listener to America's Favorite Noontime Talk Show, aka the HOTLINE on AM-1240-WATN.
Joe is talking about trees, a subject I seldom broached and he is talking about bluebirds, the official bird of NYS.
I am off the show to comply with federal broadcast law regarding candidates for public office and actually the rest is a good thing. I can catch the Price is Right in its entirety.

Brosk is a brilliant man...the kind who can talk about anything...unfortunately,today that is what he did.
I think I might even put my money on Brosk if we paired him against Graham in Jeopardy or the crossword puzzle. But as much as his associates love to make fun of the "ummm's" on the radio, Graham instinctively knows what speed to talk at, depending on the complexity of the thought being articulated...and he has a knack for knowing what is interesting and what is not. (that's a complement Jeff, you are the best hotline host)
Joe Brosk may be knowledgeable and he is, but he is not necessaryily brighter or smarter or more knowledgeable than some callers, but he sure comes across that way. So, in that aspect, he is very shallow. He also comes across as not being very open to any idea that differs from his own mindset on some views. Plus, his mind is set plenty on one view mostly and that is his view and no one or anything else matters – factual or not. A radio show host lets others express their views and opinions – and not just suffer through his.
He should also stop allowing the blatant personal attacks on a few callers. He should stick to subjects and topics at hand and leave and dismiss the stuff from the gutter that splatters on callers personally rather than face them head-on with better views and more honest opinions.
Differing opinions and views are one thing, but shooting the messenger because you don’t like the messenger is not real good policy or practice, at least in my view.
I counted no, none, zero, text messages during the show today. And Joe even gave the impression he was listening to the callers. Change we can believe in.

Dan what make You think Your opinons are better than Joe's. I agree with Joe a good share of the time. Once in a blue moon with You. Your a fish out of water up here Dan. But You do have MCM and the other liberal.

I'm sorry but this guy Joe is a colossal bore, like a reminder of how bad Joe Franklin was for so many years on WOR. What a yawn the show is now.

Well now, as long as you asked…to be fair…I would say he is probably at least half as smart of at least half of the six to eight regular callers.
I know…I know…you asked Dan but I couldn’t help myself.
Am I getting this? Dannie is lecturing Joe about coming across as arrogant? We're not supposed to talk about pots and kettles anymore, are we?

Joe seems like a real down to earth Intelligent man that will listen when he feels a sense of connection "Vibe" I see a few responses on here that I honestly think they dont know what they know what the hell they are talking about and "I" proved them wrong a few times-But of course they were not listening or just tuned in or whatever their biindeye bullcrap is. I like the mayor and Joe both - Diffrent qualities and I think Joe is a type of person that always wants to learn something new. You can tell he looks into the information he doenst understand and truthful when he says he doesnt. I think you each have all your own great qualities and the ego is talking in this blog and on the radio. We all need to just get along and cooperate in the times ahead.
