The Devil's Brew Comes to Burger King

Everybody wants to sell the Devil's Brew these days and even Burger King is adding hops and barley to its menu in selected Whopper Bar locations....The first with beer is in South Beach and its not likely to raise eyebrows there.
Whopper Bars are highly styled, gourmet food locations and are much more hip than the normal Arsenal Street variety of BK.
If every venue and event is going to be slathered in beer and alcohol, perhaps its time to get real and lower the drinking age back to 18 so we can all stop looking the other way in so many instances. The only place the law is enforced anymore is in licensed establishments.

It is time to lower the drinking age and raise the expectations on all young adults.

Maybe a compromise would be to give licenses to drink for those under 21 and then we could at least get the kids some training first.

This is the not anything new, they did a test market along the beach lines like two years ago. And who cares!!!! Sell Beer wherever we do not care!
And you cannot lower the drinking age, unless you are serving our coutnry in the military then you should be allowed to drink at a younger age.
But seriously put some thought into lowering the drinking age do you have any idea what that would create...the next generation of early drunks, or rather the next round of every body owes me something because I do not want to do anything for myself..yeah great Idea lower the age, legalize weed, what a country we live in today!!! Make it easier for are youth to get drunk, and high!!!! Great Idea, Clown.

Booze at Burger King. Just when I think I've heard it all.

I guess Burger King will be a wonderful place to bring the family. It should generate more jobs, they will all need bouncers. I believe in freedom, I am a non drinker, non smoker who believes in the right of people to chose. I believe in the legalization of all drugs, especially marijuana. This economy needs new business desperately, why give it all to guys whose last names end in vowels. But there is a time and place for everything, and Burger King does not seem like the time or the place. I can see the neighborhood alcoholics now all sitting in the air conditioning, wearing a golden crown.

Every Burger King and MacDonald’s I've ever been in when stationed for nine years in Germany served beer. And you only had to be 16 to buy beer and wine (18 for the hard stuff).

I find the use of alcohol in Jeff County to be horrifying. People invited hubby and I to go "camping" and when the sun when down the camp site was filled with people of all ages getting hammered, with their children and grandchildren around.People who advocate for it need to examine the statistics surrounding the injury this causes people and be more responsible, much more responsible.

um 7:19, that is the funniest thing I have read in a long time.."the use of alcohol in Jeff County to be horrifying", you are so silly drinking is done everywhere, everywhere, the whole entire world drinks......you must have been one of those "good kids growing up". Move on, oh wait never leave your house because people are drinking somewhere.

The whole entire world drinks, yes it does seem that way. I went to college in the 60's in NYC. I think I did most of my college courses in technicolor. I have done it all and done it again and I'm telling you alcohol is one of the nastiest drugs out there. It probably destroys more lives than all of the other drugs put together. Just because everybody loves to get drunk doesn't make it an okay thing. It's a nasty past time.

But its a choice...move on next topic.

agree with 7:10, its a choice so in order for it to destroy a life someone must first choose to drink it. And guess what its our life, one life that we get so enjoy it how ever you want with a bottle in your hand while your eating a whooper on the beach..which most people are walking around at the beach and not driving so no big deal.

I agree with 7:10 and 10:38 enjoy it, life that is why you can. And if I was on the board walk in South Fl and could have a whooper (hold the fries) and a cold one you bet that would be a little slice of heaven...So really what is the next topic?
