ABC News Plays Gotcha With Michelle Obama

I wouldn't blame the First Lady for calling ABC News part of the "lame stream media" after reading this piece about Mrs Obama ordering a burger and milkshake at a DC diner. Somehow the network computed the lunch as having 1556 calories and suggested that it was wrong for her to indulge a little since Mrs Obama has been an advocate for healthy eating and eliminating childhood obesity.
The First Lady is doing the right thing in raising awareness of that issue and the "gotcha" journalists need to get a life. Enjoy your lunch Mrs. Obama.

She was not just raising awareness she was attempting to legislate from the FLOTUS position.

She deserves a big gotcha because her answers to obesity were so freaking stupid.

If the high cal lunch was her 'big meal' of the day, no big deal. If she wanted to eat a burger and shake it is just none of our business. She can still advocate for others who are obese. Remember priests all over the world claim to be sex free.

Just as liberals are generous with other peoples money but not their own..so too are they generous with other peoples choices for meals but not their own.

Until you recognize that liberalism is about totalitarianism, you will not see the light.

Let’s see if I understand you correctly…

--first lady orders a hamburger and a milkshake(tsk, tsk, naughty girl)…

--media picks up the story(much to-do about nothing) …

--MORON—(that would be you)…

--equates story with “liberalism”…

--equates liberalism with a “totalitarian” government.

Are there birds, trees and grass on your planet?

11:05 spare us your overly biased opinions will you ?

3:54 be assured that you understand nothing. This event did not occur in the vacuum that is your mind. Your syllogism is sorely lacking in a multitude of terms not mentioned in the story, but commonly known to those who follow current events and have a rudimentary knowledge of history.

“:54 be assured that you understand nothing.”

--Judging from your irrational and silly comments, I understand that you’re in dire need of psychiatric help.

“This event did not occur in the vacuum that is your mind.”

--“Event”…there was an event? Your right… it didn’t occur in the vacuum of MY mind…it occurred in YOURS.

“Your syllogism is sorely lacking in a multitude of terms not mentioned in the story, but commonly known to those who follow current events and have a rudimentary knowledge of history.”

--LMFAO…at your psycho-babble BS. Unlike you, some of us actually do have a basic understanding of current events and history... and you’re about to receive a free, albeit brief complementary lesson.

Mrs. Obama has by no means advocated a total anti-meat/vegetarian diet. And she is not going to everyone's house and saying… “Stop! You're NOT allowed to eat that greasy food.”

It's so dim witted how people like you with your own warped personal agenda enjoy mocking Michelle Obama simply for eating fast food occasionally and equating it with “liberal totalitarianism.”

Maybe it’s you that needs to brush up on your current events and history.

Now eat your peas and go to bed!

Your wonderful FLOTUS advocated promulgated and celebrated the
The Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010
(BTW...when she figured out her cause made her look like a hypocritical totalitarian dunce she changed her pet cause to military family matters.)

This act usurps the authority of countless lunch facilities, principals, boards of educations, state governors and their respective lawmakers and even the federal lawmakers and places authority in a federal agency known as the USDA. As far removed from the voice of the people as possible.

It is all done under the guise that it is good for society as a whole.

The law makes no exception for occasional high calorie meals and no exception for missing fruit or vegetables, like the meal that your FLOTUS indulged in. Instead of being outraged over some slight hyperbole that technically fits by some definitions…
Maybe you would be better off to spend the time rethinking your political philosophy and quit defending the indefesnable.

At any rate…I run circles ‘round you logically
And…I hate peas and will eat none. I prefer broccoli for my vegetable.

10:38 AM: Again, I will point out your original comment…”Until you recognize that liberalism is about totalitarianism, you will not see the light.”

And I still maintain this is a naïve and irrational way of thinking to say the least.

If you believe that government often overreaches its authority undermining an individual’s right to choose…that is a valid argument.

But to suggest that somehow “liberalism” is exclusively the blame is specious and just plain foolish.

I could list any number of examples pointing out “conservative” political and/or far right religious initiatives and agendas that are designed to infringe upon individual rights, e.g., the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007, a bill passed by massive majorities in Congress and signed into law by President George W. Bush (and fortunately repealed), opposition to same sex marriage, etc.

I suppose this would fall under your definition of… to quote a phrase… “It is all done under the guise that it is good for society as a whole.”

So 10:38… Until you recognize that totalitarianism is not about “liberalism or conservatism” it is YOU that will NEVER see the light.

Maybe you would be better off to spend the time rethinking your political “hypocrisy” and refrain from being so shamelessly biased.

Oh, incidentally…you’re going to have to eat a helluva lot of broccoli to run circles around me…my friend.
