U.S. and Allies Seek a Refuge for Qaddafi - NYTimes.com
I thought we were going to drive Qaddafi to an early grave and install a new regime just by firing a few hundred million-dollar-missiles....Now there's a stalemate civil war in Libya and people are being brutalized in cities like Misurata....Meanwhile the US and its Allies are said to be seeking a safe haven for the Libyan strongman somewhere in Africa where they don't recognize treaties that might leave Qaddafy vulnerable to prosecution for Lockerbie.... I say send Quukdufey to California. That way he will have the best of appeals courts available to him. No way in hell will they get a conviction. The taxpayers can spend gazillion dollars on his trial, Entertainment Tonight can cover it, MSM can slowly turn the story around to where he had to kill them dumbasses on that PanAm plane, and he can be doin' babes on the beach. Cool. Never, ever, send him to Guantanimo, eh Dannie.

Mayor we have not committed boots on the ground in Lybia, and have spent a paltry amount of money when compared to Iraq or Afghanistan on aiding rebel insurgents. In Benghazi, Lybia, where hundreds if not thousands of rebels and civilians cannot be located by families who seek to know their loved ones current status. They wonder, are these loved ones alive or dead? Family members who fight for the noblest of political ideas, a ‘Democracy’ for the Libyan people; who have never known true freedom in their past history. To quote from the New York Times, “500 people are listed as missing by, ‘The Red Cresent Society,’ in Benghazi alone according to the New York Times.” I mention this to point out to Mayor Graham that the Rebels in Lybia have put their lives on the line in a titanic struggle to rid themselves of a mad man. A maniac dictator named Col. Muammar El Qaddafi, who has now decided to use Cluster Bombs, against his own people in City of Misurata in Western Lybia. Mayor Graham, you have never understood the nature of the ‘Cataclysmic’ change occurring in the Middle-East, in countries like Egypt, Lybia, and now Syria, nor understood our responsibility as the World’s beacon of light to not only foster ‘Democracy’ but to aid the rebels in question. That is something that troubles me deeply.
