As I drive around NYS, I see dozens and dozens of small towns with "we're the state champions" signs placed on there borders. I realize there are many categories for competition, but has this been a wee bit tweeked? It would be easier to keep track of who is not champion.

First of all the post is about IHC winning a sectional title not a state title. Second very few Towns/Cities can claim a state title. It is a difficult feat. However, as they have been having State Champions for years it would not be unusual for a school to win won over a 50 year period.

In my 13 years of going to school at WHS they school never won a state title.

So even though these girls won a sectional title representing my cross town rival my hats off to them. Good luck in the state tournament

There are state champions every few miles all over. I remember when IHC lost in the final, but somehow still won the state championship. That was three or four years ago. I'm sure they will have good fortune at the state tourney. I wish them the best.
