Juvenile, Simplistic Arguments Mar Debate Over Serious Issues

Democrats have turned the tables on the GOP and are now claiming they are the ones who want to go after those downstate millionaires and make them pay for our turf fields and teachers...

Today's mail brought a piece from the "Strong Economy for All Coalition." It tells us to tell Senator Patty Ritchie to put the children ahead of millionaires...

These kind of juvenile arguments and insults speak poorly of people calling themselves educators....

But If the Senator really is breaking into this kid's piggy bank....I am going to call Graham Wise and give him a piece of my mind.

I listened to the "goofy" commercial on the radio today; it rates as one of the dumbest advertising skits, that I have ever heard (along with the "tax the millionaires" skit on tv7).One of the purported millionaires says during the skit, that he is going to buy a yacht, with his tax break. So, I figure by purchasing the yacht, he delivers income to a business (revenue),perhaps generates sales tax, insurance fees,etc..,has to buy fuel, pay for upkeep, generates jobs to build more yachts, spare parts, etcc... So, I have to agree with the Majority, tax breaks do in fact ,create jobs. So, tell me again how not extending the millionaires tax, will send our children into a state of dispair? P.S. , does Watertowns newest lottery winner qualify for the millionaires tax? We had a "thousandaire" in Black River, maybe that person needs to contribute more to taxes.

Who’s acting immature?
The Republican right is acting to destroy the Middle-Class in this country and it's taken on a near criminal tone. GOV. Scott Walker of WISCONSIN is going to have his actions concerning killing, ‘Collective bargaining’ challenged in court and via a recall vote. Mayor you try to separate Teachers from their Union, because you hate collective bargaining, and any and all Teachers improving their lot in life. You're being immature to the extent that you think they'll be no political repercussions for these actions. You mouth right wing platitudes and are a proponent of the Fox News view of reality where people can't admit their President is an American or Unions have a value. That is a sickeningly immature slant to events sir. And yes, the Hotline show needs to return to a more balanced program free of REP. Right wing propaganda. Your mouth pieces offer views about Michigan and Detroit ruined by Unions, but never mention that the auto industry ran to other countries 30 years plus ago and took every job out of the country they could and then asked for and got help from the American tax payer. Larry from Prague is given an open forum to say (Approximate Quote) “I represented a Teachers Union, (in heavily Republican, Ariz.) and I quit in two weeks, because I couldn’t take their nonsense.”What Union? What shenanigans? You gave him a free pass to go anti-Union without one factual check. That’s a disgrace and you perpetrated it on Hotline today. You’re always a lot tougher on me Mayor Graham. And you’re open to the charge of acting immature lately. I value Larry's contributions on the show. This just came at the wrong time as it relates to Unions and the role they play.

The great leaders see the bigger picture. For New York's sake, keep leading the way you are leading Governor Cuomo. The most disturbing element of this entire moment in our state's history is that after you compared New York to ENRON and used the term ENRON to describe the root cause of our state's fiscal bankruptcy, not a single public employee protested or created a sign or called a radio station or held a rally to say that the ENRON business model wasn't working for them.

Even if the Wisconsin Gov fails, it was a step worth taking. The days of automatic handouts to teacher unions has to come to an end. The rest of what you are saying, Mikey is confusing. After we forced you to stay away from google searches your writing has deteriorated drastically. Your ideas are completely fragmented.
