FX Caprara on outer Washington Street has the Chrysler/Jeep franchise back in a freshly renovated store. For the nearly four decade old family business its a tribute to the value of old fashioned business values.
After losing the franchise to the upstart Dealmaker Group, the Caprara family concentrated on building it's KIA line, which now is in its own store up the street. The Volkswagen franchise has also been a steady performer.
After the demise of Dealmaker, the Caprara's won back Chrysler/Jeep and Dodge trucks and now are perched atop the local auto industry with stores in Watertown, Alex Bay and Pulaski.
I bought my Jeep from the Bay store, and have always been happy with the service at FX.

Mayor: You should probably disclose that once were employed by FX Caprara.
How do you lose a franchise?
They should have told Chrysler to go f@#) themselves and took over Honda.
We NEED a Honda dealership!
How do you think Caprara's income compares to a school superintendents?
You cannot refer to a Chrysler car mogul by first-name-only around here, if it is "Billy".
Kia store is doing Honda non warranty service.
I have been treated very well there.
I hope they do land the Honda franchise.
Great news they are good people they do alot of good things....
Interesting question about the superintendent's salary vs the Caprara's money, 10:27. There are some differences. First off, if a dealership goes down, they go out of business. A superintendent never goes down, except during negotiations with the teachers. A businessman works longer days, and 12 months a year. Doubtful on a school employee of any kind. In fact, its kind of a humorous comparison. Car dealers raises aren't set in stone. Uh, even you might get that one. Car dealers pay for their insurance. Again, you might get that one. Hopefully. I wonder if the Billys have a promised retirement from the manufacturers at age 55? Heh heh.
And the gazzilions invested by car dealers is their own money, in most cases. I've never seen a super lose his/her own money in his/her own game. In fact, nobody ever loses. Except the kids.
Billy works to hard....I have two family members that teach....They work very hard...Yes they get paid good to....What price do you put on a person who is in charge of our kids on a day to day basis? I don't want someone who is willing to take chump change taking care of my kid's future. How about you?
Hey CR how much should they make?
