Blankenbush on the Budget

Assemblyman Ken Blankenbush says he was not one of those who visited the Governor's mansion to hear about the budget.
Mr. B. said the minority lawmakers were not invited.
In an exclusive interview this evening at Pete's, the Assemblyman told me he wants Governor Cuomo to put the hammer down.
"The Governor has been speaking in general terms of late, but he has been on target about cutting spending...Actually I like his idea about consolidating agencies in Albany," the Assemblyman opined.
"If he is going to cut prisons, then he ought to cut them across the state, not just north of the Thruway," he said.
Mr. Blankenbush goes back to the capital on Monday, in time for Mr. Cuomo's budget message on Tuesday.

He is going to cut prisons and one of them will be local. Its a tossup right now, between Ogdensburg CF or Dry Hill.. As a favor to Ritchie and to make her puff up it will be Dry Hill. Ogdensburg has been placed on next times list.
The consoladation issue is the way to save and also put limits on pensions... This shared pain thing has to be split up between the rich and poor.

My question....Doesn't our prisons take in people from all over the country? Don't they get anything for doing so? If not...well they are chumps.

crazyray, Watertown and Ogdensburg prison house only NYS inmates. They do get our tax payers money to run them.
NY Post indicated 3 NYC prisons will be shut down this leave all options open to the govenor.
