An Unspeakable Tragedy in Arizona

Six are confirmed dead including a federal judge, while a Member of Congress from Arizona lies in critical condition after being shot in the head point blank during "Congress on the Corner" constituent meeting at a Safeway store in Tucson.
After initial reports suggesting her demise, doctors announced Rep. Gabrielle Giffords had survived surgery for a single round they say passed through her head.
Just outrageous such a thing could happen.
We pray for her survival and for the souls of those who perished.
The gunman is in custody. He is 22 years old.

Thinking back on the sick people who shot Regan, Lennon and today's assassination. Yes I really mean assassination, when you plan to kill a goverment offical it is an assassination not just a shooting. He may not have killed her but the Judge killed to me makes this an assassination. Why is the MSM being PC and calling it what it is???

Oh great...here we go again. MORE gun laws aimed at us non-aggressive, law-abiding citizens of the U.S. simply because some lunatic goes berserk.

Mike, why is it you folks who cannot muster the nerve to mention the word Christmas, let alone God, always seem to pray at times like this? I pray you will find the words to respond. Its not just you, the entire MSM has been praying today.

You're right Max, better buy them now.

A terrible tragedy and is no doubt a symbol of the terrible vitriol and divisness in politics today . The Radio/TV hate mongers need to be held somewhat accountable for stirring this frenzy of hatred .

Our prayers go out to all the families and throw the book at the perp.

You really have a lot of nerve and I'm not going to get into how that statement is beyond the decency threshold. I have no trouble wishing Cristians, A Merry Christmas, so don't misrepresent me. What I don't do is include non-Christians in that Holiday Greeting, choosing instead to say, "Have A Happy Holiday Season."
Your point seems to be to just ignore the forum your operating in and not respect the belief system of other citizens. Sorry, I don't operate that way Mr. Anon.

Geeze, I must have touched a nerve. Forgive me. It is difficult to understand how avoidance of all things Christian has become so important to you. And you clearly do not mention God in your regular discourse. You say this is only because this is a public forum and you do not wish to "offend". I'm not sure I understand how that can be. I'm' not offended by mentions of other religions. These statements do not scare me. I don't have a need for them to be avoided. We will let that go, for now. But faced with a difficult time such as this shooting, you immediately resort to a public statement mentioning prayer. It just seems a bit, inconsistant.

I pray, openly, that you understand.

I was raised to pray everyday, I'm a Christian in the Catholic Church and you my friend just don’t get it. So let’s forget it and please can the Christian insult thing as directed at me.

Michael, it is inconsistancy that I address. This has nothing to do with religion. We can openly discuss anything you wish. I am not the one fixated on avoidance of certain terminology. That would be you, and much of society.

Go Jets.

Michael forget this 7:14 person he is a Neanderthal who adds nothing of value to the discourse .The world is full of these negative nuts , pay no attention to them , do not feed the trolls who NEED this type of gratification to make up for what they lack in life .

We must not be so wedded to political correctness that we are afraid to use certain terms. I cannot imagine what it must be like to live ones life is such a state of fear. It must be a risk when any works escape your mouth. The risk of offending anyone must leave you paralyzed.
