OK, Jude Seymour is leaving his current employer to take a TV job. So when I click on his blog site at the WDT site all you get is a blank page. If he is on the outs, why not get rid of the link ? I know in broadcasting if you tell the boss you are giving notice to move up the street, you are out immediately. I assume its the same in all media and like in the old Soviet Union, all public vestiges of your existence are eliminated.
When you go work for the competition, you can also never go home.

That is an old wives tale that only holds true when the home is run by a "woman scorned".
I know of several people that jumped back and forth from Coke to Pepsi.
I pine for the days when Seven and the Times were owned by one master.
I saw this also this morning. Was expecting a nice not about his leaving.
I was there when WWNY TV and Radio (now WTNY) and WMSA Radio in Massena served the same master at the Times, a true gentleman: John Johnson. And although our generous paychecks came from the same source, we never crossed an invisible, but solid, line. No business ever got an advertising discount for placing ads on more than one media, we never shared news stories, management never conspired to censure news. I worked at WWNY Radio and TV for twenty years, the best years of my life.
Thanks, Tom, for the nice memory of my grandfather and his business.
We wish Jude all the best and are sorry to see him leave. Game on!

Jude was a hard worker and we all respect that and I enjoyed reading his commentary on ‘whatever’ is always interesting. I'll continue to follow him in his new job, where I'm sure he'll exceed expectations. Gauging how elections are won and lost today requires someone who is a blog expert. He has displayed that and many other skills that I respect him for in his past work.
Good luck Jude, please keep us informed,
