Couple great tid bits in this Jude Seymour tome.
In the greatest non surprise of 2010, Assemblywoman Diedre Scozzafava has interviewed for a job in the Cuomo administration. DeDe effectively bolted the GOP ,which had been her party while in the Assembly, when she suspended her Congressional campaign in 2009 and endorsed the Democrat, Bill Owens.
Since then while sitting in the GOP caucus in the Assembly, Ms. Scozzafava campaigned for a Democrat to succeed her....again backed Bill Owens and openly backed Andrew Cuomo.
The other foot note that Jude discovered is that Senator-elect Patty Ritchie is ducking an interview with the doyenne of Albany media, Liz Benjamin. Patty says she wants to concentrate on getting her staff organized. Listen...thats spin....The reason is you don't yet feel conversant enough on Albany issues to face off with the person most versed in said issues....Why expose yourself to a potential stumble ?
Needless to say the Capital Tonight host wants to talk with the new Senator who toppled Senator Aubertine and gave control of the body to the GOP.
I really don't think Liz would play "gotcha" in this kind of post election interview. Go ahead Patty...I've been on Cap Tonight three times and they are always nice to me.

mr mayor lots of people who want to talk to patti can't, join the line
Well...I just lost any respect I had for Cuomo.
What would be in it for Patty?...to suffer through an interview with Liz when she is not yet adequately prepared?
Dede goes to Andrew hat in hand and Patty ducks for cover. What shocking stories from St. Lawrence County's finest.
And didn't someone on here say that Liz wouldn't bother with Patty? WRONG! Patty is 32, she is the difference between the GOP being in the Majority and the Democrats. Her vote can move mountains and how long will we let her off the hook with this staffing excuse? You've hired your political hacks and now take care of your Senate handlers and you're done Patty...then you gotta govern Senator. You wanted the job and shockingly you got it...have fun.
What a joke we've become politically...
And the band played on, Same old politics. Maybe some money for Tom's new business venture.
We are in for a long two years with Patty. No one will see much of her, no one with have our issues heard and she will do nothing for us. Wait and see! You are going to get what you wanted and in six months you are going to be wishing you didnt.
Pat Richie ducked all comment for months during the campaign. Now she is ducking all interviews during her pre Senate warmup... Staffing isnt the problem. Guts is the issue. When you have none and no principals nor knowledge of what your doing this shows big time. We all knew this before she was elected why think it could change now.. In two years we can replace her but thats two entire years of nothing.. She is merely there to replace Darrell and give the GOP another NYC vote. She could use the percieved split to her advantage but wont because she lacks any intestinal fortitude..
One thing for sure I,ve been told she is a nice person.... Thats what we need as a Senator.. A Nice Person
Patty going toe to toe with LIZ -- that would be a 3 ring circus worth watching . Patty must be a great fisherwoman she's "been in the weeds " since the election :>))
C'mon Senator, start communicating with the Great Unwashed who you represent .
License Plate Patty is in way over her head - that is pretty obvious.
But, she is taking some buddies from her country clerks office with her to Albany. That should make her feel at home during lulls in the voting sessions.
It shouldn't be about whats in it for Patty. She should want to be out in the media for her constituents.
Jude will get nothing ................Bawahhhhhhhhhhhh
The sharks are out because Patty hasn't interview with Liz. Of course most people have no idea who Liz is. Everyone knows how well she'll do with their crystal balls.
As far as us being a joke, I think we became that when Aubertine insisted that Paterson offerred him the NYPA position, even though Paterson said that was not true.
It is beyond annoying that Patty is handled in such a fashion that she can't even speak for herself, or get back to people. Long two years is an understatement.
I can't believe the excuse for Patty I just read from the second commenter.
"What would be in it for Patty?...to suffer through an interview with Liz when she is not yet adequately prepared?"
Not yet adequately prepared? She has been elected to be a state senator, she should be adequately prepared to give an introductory television interview. She should be able to speak on a wide range of issues, with substance. She should definitely be much more prepared than she currently is and the fact that she is not is scary.
Not being adequately prepared for an interview for an elected official is a terrible excuse. What happened to holding these people to a higher standard?
