Voters should feel they did the right thing in denying the Democratic leadership of the State Senate the right to control the body. Today Democratic leader , Sen John Sampson, spent a press conference explaining why the violent outbursts of Senator Kevin Parker are different from those of former Senator Hiram Montserrate.
Give it up guys...You continue to defend the indefensible. Even though it was a good man like Darrel Aubertine who took the fall for the Thugocracy, in retrospect it had to happen....These people have no place leading anything.

That's about as well as this situation can possibly be described. The only problem Jeff is that Patty Ritchie is about to sign off on Dean Skelos and the Long Island elite. They certainly are not immune to dysfuntion or corruption and I worry that they are the ones leading Patty around...that won't be good for Northern New York.

Too bad stachowski, aubertine and foley are gone. Mayor correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't a center aisle caucus going to be built around Aubertine and Republican Alesi. That would have been real leadership. I also believe a lot of repubs plus dems valesky and breslin would have followed suit. But unfortunately now we are left with more partisan faces... Oh well we asked for it.
Oh and the Republicans "deserve" the majority. Not a word from Mayor Jeff about the guilty plea of Republican Senator Leibel for his role in a shake down. Jeff, the Dems you note aren't angels, but we as citizens need to be worried more about "civic" morals than personal foibles. I'll take Parker anyday with his anger management problems than the bribe taking Republicans. Does than name Bruno ring a bell? Of course not- you suffer from the same double standard that requires Spitzer to resign but lets Vitter get re-elected. Hypocrites!
