Mark Zuckerberg - Person of the Year 2010 - TIME

TIME has named its person of the year and its FACEBOOK found Mark Zuckerberg. Its hard to say who the most important person of any year is, but certainly Mr. Zuckerberg has changed the culture in ways we cannot imagine with his social networking site.
Facebook is so popular and for some so adicting, it consumes hours of a person's day. It literally sucks up information about people's lives and offers a disturbing false intimacy to many people who place everything about themselves on it.
Nonetheless, it is so amazing that a man in his 20's can dream up something so innovative and with a short period of time, it permeates the culture and the world.
I agree Mr. Zuckerberg deserves recognition.

facebbook is more popular than porn:

I recall the Simpson's episode when they did the joke about Bart's website going to number one for non porn websites...ten-millionth overall.

I figuratively cringe when I hear the word literally, for fear it might be out of context.

Mark Zuckerberg is a difficult fellow to define. He made the world a little smaller, it’s easier to reach out and contact people. But is it a more intimate world? He made our lives more open, but we may have lost a necessary level of privacy. The older you are the more of a mixed bag he may be in terms of the communications revolution he’s part of today. Of course ‘People’ seeking Search engines did exist before Mark bought us Face book, and in the end he’s just part of the communications tweaking that makes it all work better in Pictorial and Written formats. Still not bad for a guy in his twenties and it sure makes the rest of us look uninspired by comparison.
