In a story about the nine freshmen members of the State Senate, the NY Observer raps Senator-elect Patty Ritchie for her outreach, saying she has not done a media interview since the election over five weeks ago. I don't know if that's true or not, but there has been little said by the replacement for defeated Senator Darrel Aubertine.
Ms. Ritchie may be keeping her powder dry while learning the ropes of her new gig. There is little point in going on the record with the MSM right now,only to have the realities of 2011 contradict post election statements.

Let the MSM get rankled all they want, it doesn't matter that she does interviews, pressers, or appears on TV. All that really matters is how she governs and takes care of the constituents.

I said it once I will say it a thousand times. Ritchie will spend spend spend, we will NEVER see her and nothing will get done. No offense, but the people of the North Country are ignorant and had no idea who Ritchie was or what she stands for. She ran her campaign on saving us from the license plate fees... come to find out, it wasn't even HER that did anything. She lied about Aubertine in pre recording messages and has already spent thousands of dollars in a lawsuit against the counties she is supposedly to represent.
So I say GREAT JOB North Country. Your ignorance has removed a very hard working individual and replaced it with a fraud, liar and a slacker. It is one of the main reasons why I wish I did not have to live in this god forsaken area.

That claim is false and flat out wrong. It never costs anyone a nickle, it was precautionary and no one ended up defending any part of the lawsuit it went away.
She already has started with her political favors... The three individuals she named for her office..

She hired three people with zero legislative or constituent service experience...I'd call those political favors. "Director of Operations" Brian Peck?!?! I mean really? This is guy wet behind the ears, not to mention the Carthage problems a few years back. The Mayor has to play nice because he's a pol, but these three don't exactly say impressive resume's for our tax dollars. Next thing we'll read that one of the Senate lackey's is her Chief of Staff...

I have never seen more deer-in-the-headlights elected official than Patty Ritchie. She hid from the public during the entire campaign and now is continuing that trend as the story shows. We have to remember folks that this is the same woman who hid in the closet or bathroom when she ran against Darrel the first time. She's gone, as Sarah would put it, "rogue" before and with this behavior, or lack their of, and the meaningless hires of three inexperienced yes-men/women, her goose may already be cooked. What makes this all laughable is that she hasn't even been sworn in yet and she's already being written off. But the Republicans are running the Senate and we all know how honest and hard-working they are...I'm sure we'll get our fair share (sarcasm inserted here).
She hasnt even been sworn in and shes getting the ire of the public. She is not worthy of the office however you folks that elected her can take all the credit.
