The same thing has already happened to New Jersey Governor Chris Christie...Get elected and suddenly the chattering class has you running for President.
Now the Associated Press has brought its weighty presence on the side of speculating about Andrew Cuomo running for the top job....Even though he has yet to solve one of New York's problems, Mr. Cuomo is being touted....
Really, let's insist our new Governor put four years of good performance in the can before thinking he is Presidential. He may well be, but we just don't know yet.

OFF the Wall !! Outrageous !! The guy hasn't even made one single improvement here yet . Let's evaluate his ability at the end of yr one and see. The insanity of this being even considered is indicative of just how SHALLOW we have become as a people - To Hell With The Cult of Personality -- I want someone who is a PROVEN Ptoblem Solver.
AP is out of touch to even mention it -----------damn fools
It wouldn't matter if he turned this dump around and made sh#t into gold. The very mention of the name NY in the rest of the country is enough to get you puked on. And why not. We're the laughingstock of the entire nation. Nothing but special interests, debt, job losses, and corruption. And the last election solidifies our reputation. It has been that way for a long time. MSM/AP is trying to tell us we don't stink. Sorry, we've smelled bad for two generations. We have a beautiful state. That's where it ends.
Cuomo is too ugly to be governor much less president.
Who is going to vote for an Italian out side of NY and Chicago?
Run for president? Give it a rest - he's not even Gov, yet...
Pathetic rumor.
Oh, you can bet StatusCuomo will run as far as his BS and the media will take him. Which won't be very far. I invite anyone to travel to another state and mention NY, in any way. Get ready to be laughed at, spit upon, or kick in the, well, kicked. I realize you people think you're on top of things, but no other state agrees with you. Your taxes, your politicians, pretty much your entire way of life is a matter of disdain for the rest of the nation. They do thank you for one thing, the great kids you've been sending their way for a couple generations.
Nice 9:12 its 2010 and you make use of a distorted stereotype and make inferred slurs .
I would have expected more from a US citizen in 2010 than to disparage ANY nationality that contributed so much to the culture and history of this great country.
Shame on all small minds .
But i guess ignorance is very much in evidence by several on this blog .
A proud Italian /Irish American
Don't be too thin skinned.
I just happen to view Cuomo as extremely repulsive to look at.
Take a peek:

Lets not pretend that physical appearance is not a factor in politics.
Don't be ashamed of small minds...they are people too. But what could be a smaller mind than the mind that is considering Cuomo for POTUS already?
You do realize that our next Italian American president will be our first Italian American president?
Why is it acceptable to give a whole group credit for the contributions of some of it's members but it is wrong to criticize a whole group for the sins of some of it's members?
"Don't be too thin skinned.
I just happen to view Cuomo as extremely repulsive to look at."
I know what you mean 9:12 i find the "two year governor and quitter" Sarah Falin repulsive. Not because she is unattractive but because she is a pathetic moron.
10:48 you are a BIGOT plain n' simple . Your small bigoted world is intolerant of any group . person or idea that doesn't mesh with your extremely limited world view . Sorry to tell you this but your words are meant to separate people rather than unite us.
In answer to your last question :Individuals are responsible for their action NOT AN ENTIRE GROUP SIR that 's why !
In the name of common decency please broaden your scope of thinking just a wee bit and refrain from disparaging any nationality
Cuomo's nationality is American...were talking more about ethnic groups not nationalities.
And you did not answer the question, instead you contradicted your earlier hypocritical statement.
It is not a
nationality that contributed so much to the culture and history of this great country
because
Individuals are responsible for their action NOT AN ENTIRE GROUP SIR!
My bigotry aside. It stands to reason that trying to elect someone to POTUS from an ethnic group that has never been elected to POTUS is an uphill battle.
Until we can get to a point where we can candidly talk about ethnicity without feigning outrage, we will always be facing more problems than really exist.
I am not feigning outrage i am outraged . IMO We are quibbling over "semantics" ( nationality vis a vis ethnicity). Until one sets aside bias the likelihood of any meaningful dialog
is unlikely.
Oh lighten up. Now that we're all offended let me say this. The rest of us don't give a sh#t. I haven't met anyone yet who isn't offended in one way or another. It has become a way of life. Suggestion here. Why don't you, 12:28 git yerself a lawyer, not an Italian one, go Polish, and sue the livin' crap out of 12:20. Then you can be offended AND rich. Wouldn't that soooothe your little behind?
I likes the Italians just like they are. In the old days, when the Italians ran the neighborhood, the old ladys didn't have to lock their doors cause some guy named Vito came to visit if you were an idiot. Does that make me a bigot or an Italian lover? Who cares.
6:43 Yet another piece of brilliant insight from the sour guy. ALL NASTY ALL DAY LONG
LIGHTEN UP friend :>) you're really getting OLD and Tired with the sarcasm.
>:) I am old but I'm very rested,,after the LAST Election. Smarten UP (^::%%..
I mights get offended +==:)
