With only 32% of adults voting this election, the continuing protracted counts and disputes over voting machines being "found" hardly will inspire confidence.
Even though we now have a paper ballot trail, why is there so much resistance to actually counting the paper if needed ?....Instead we hear about the margin of error for the scanners...Again nothing that inspires confidence.
Everybody who loses a close race cooks up rationalizations for what happened.....But the fights over close races ....the getting ballots tossed or the badgering of absentee voters by operatives...all leads to the impression that the fix is in...or at the least that your vote is expendable.....
Everybody says they want all the votes counted...Few seem to believe it.

The new voting machines were a huge waste of money. Little privacy and the old ones worked just find.
There really isn't any reason for most NYers to be voting anyway. Take for instance the Governor's race this year. The state should have declared it to be "not close enough to have a vote". Most of us wanted things to stay as they are. We knew, and the government knew, we didn't want change in that race. So cancel that election and save the money. Give it to Dannie. Same was true in both of the US Senate races. We knew those races shouldn't have been held. Especially after the blonde lost all that weight. Imagine what she is going to look like this summer when she is vacationing on the beach. And the Schmuck, we love him. Hell, they should cancel his NEXT election too. They should have Keeertin's only if she gain's weight. If the government would just make these decisions we wouldn't have to worry about finding voting machines. And excluding military votes wouldn't be such an issue. We could just exclude everyone's vote.
And if you think I'm kidding ask yourself this. How many of you have already decided what party line you're going to vote for next time around? Might as well call the election right now.
