Rev. Al Sharpton Meddles in New Administration

If he is annoying the Rev. Al Sharpton, then Governor-elect Andrew Cuomo is doing the right thing....This tail has been wagging the Democratic Party for too long with his race baiting and victim politics.
I am not one to pine about the past as I do believe in redemption, but that Tawana Brawley incident is a hard one to overlook. Of course the media feeds Sharpton by making him the go-to interview for all things black.....I am not sure that's a service to black Americans, but I understand every newsman has a Rolodex and the Reverand is filed under "Black issues."
If Mr. Cuomo wants to appoint Carl McCall to a commission that's fine. The former Comptroller is certainly distinguished in his service. However, he shouldn't feel compelled to appoint a respected person of color just to fend off the charges from the Reverand Al.
Besides that, Rev. Sharpton didn't support Mr Cuomo. That means while he can extend the new governor best wishes as many of us did, you don't assume you are his advisor and confidant.
Appoint whomever you want Mr. Cuomo. You won and New Yorkers respect that outcome.
Rev. Al Sharpton

Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson have done more to harm/oppress black people in American than any white person ever THOUGHT of.

Affirmative action is wrong.

Remember the Twana Brawley fiasco--The Rev Has No Cred !!

Anyone that still believes that the Rev. Al or Jesse or any of those "Black Leaders" of the '70s and '80s are still relevant is a maroon.

And, sorry, 11:22, but Affirmative Action has done more to raise blacks from the ghetto and put them on a more equal footing with whites than anything any other program could have done - and certainly TONS more than leaving them in the status quo quagmire circa 1965. Obama never would have gotten his self elected without 40 years of Affirmative Action making it possible for voters to take a look at a black candidate as a very viable choice. Give it one more generation - another 20 years - and we can end it sassified that 60 years of A.A. has brought blacks into the mainstream of a colorblind society. What's not to love?!

What crap! Individuals have rights, not groups. And for anyone to speak of Affirmative Action as a positive influence on society and at the same time think of and refer to "blacks" in the collective sense, well, how Liberal of you to not realize the dichotomy of your (lack) of thought.

Liberty is the answer. Now, what is your question?

"Tawana Brawley" eh? Guess everybody's got their "Quick Draw".

I agree with Evul. AA would be the best thing. It would give promise to a positive future. The groups are voluntary and confidential. Who knows, Evul, you might meet a nice girl there.

Oh, you mean Affirmative Action. Well, only idiots believe in that. Never mind.

Didja see John Stoessel's segment on affimative action? He sold assorted donuts at a mall. Identical donuts. The price was $1.50 each to Asians, $1.00 to whites, and $.50 to blacks. It made up for differences on standardized tests, just as affirmative action does. You should have seen it. It was the funniest thing since Evul explained economic theory. Maybe that's how we elected the Great One. He got more votes because he was disadvantaged. He wasn't. Well he is black. That's good enough to give him some extra "we feel guilty" votes, isn't it? Mikey, where you be on this?

Affirmative Action= FAILURE

Reverend Al can go and be effing himself.

AL sez: The race card, don't leave home without it.

Poor, disadvantages blacks vote 90%+ for the Donkeys. Now isn't that the sweetest thing? All the Donkeys have to do is say "we love you more" and the folks line up and put the lever on the left. What do you think about that, Mikey? Evul? Is your party reeely smart or just plain lucky? Then again, we've been told on good authority that all Elephants are racist. If the absurdity didn't live on the Donkey party would dry up and blow away. I'd suggest, strongly, that you keep the lie alive, I mean, keep hope alive.

Let's just say, 10:16, that if it were left up to the elephants it still would be open season on blacks. Hire a Negro? Ha!
A.A. ended that $h!t.
If for no other reason the 40 years were more than worth it. That "more qualified" whitey got left by the roadside??
meh. Society is way better for it. Freedom ain't free. Even whitey need take a hit now and then.

Brilliant. And exactly the stupidity I expected. If you really gave a crap about bettering people's lives you would look at the record. All it has done is breed resentment. It is only used by government and higher education, and then only to hand out money. Which brings us back to your purchased votes. I don't understand your hatred of your own race. That kind of thinking is above my pay grade. How long will it take before people like you don't feel guilty anymore? Al Sharpton wants to know. You belittle him, but you play the same game he does. That's right, you're a party line Donkey and you have to.

Resentment? Yes, by those predisposed to blame the victim and be racist.

The resentment is with those who had nothing to do with the wrongs of the past but are still required to pay damages. And as far as being "predisposed to being racist". I believe that statement is as reasonable as stating your wife is "predisposed" to being a ho. You don't know that about me. And I don't know that about her. That's how stupid your accusation is. Its always possible one or both of us is right, but probably not. If you feel guilty, so be it. You can apoligize all you want at fashionable parties with libs who also feel your pain. But I don't feel guilty in any way and I don't believe I owe anyone any money. And I don't think affirmative action should go on any more, especially when it is championed by the likes of Al Sharpton and guys like you, who are so unsure of themselves they don't know whether they are running from their past or just hoping another year of "sorry" checks will make them good people again. Your lack of confidence in your own integrity is not my problem.

I know, I know, 10:41. For you and your kind it's all about the money - and keeping as much of your hard earned as you can, F* everybody else. For me and my kind it's more about the humanity. We don't need to make money, we know where it is. We just need to tax the livin' bejesus out of the rich to get "our share." The twain likely will never meet. So we have elections.

Anonymous said...

So to you its about the "humanity". What the blank does that mean, Evul? If I look at the history of affirmative action I see your party keeping those coloreds in their place by buying their votes. Where's the "humanity" in that? I see you trapping them in substandard schools because you won't allow them to get into better schools because as much as you love the black folk you love the teacher union more. Where be the humanity in that? The results of your humanity ensured blacks have 70% illegitimacy birth rates, double imprisonment rates, lower standards of living, and even a shorter life expectancy. So much for your humanity. Now logic would suggest we change course. The results aren't what a thinking man or a feeeeling man (or woman) would want. But you don't that, now do you? Because this isn't about "humanity" in any way. Its about the only thing that really matters to you, Donkey party politics. You and yours have been able to snooker a group of folks, and you don't want this ass re*ming to end. Oh Evul, I respect so much your commitment to humanity. Puke.

EvilJam said...

I know, 11:06. You'll never get it. That's why we have elections. To come get what's ours.

Anonymous said...

Oh I get it. You have nothing to reply with. You're back to your original drival. Well, it beats educating yourself.

If I had to bet. I'd say blacks will stay politically stupid for quite a while. So Evul, in your cute little way, you're completely safe. Stay dumb, make the same money. Why be something you don't have to be.

I think Evul is doing the rope-a-dope in hopes me getting tired of beating him up. I mean, this can't be an example of a guy actually fighting, can it?

Seems more like a dope on a rope.
