Local Businesswoman Takes Easy Ride to Fame

We know who got a DWI....was arrested for punching their "old lady", and who urinated in public....But how about a successful local businesswoman who has actually accomplished something of note ?
Well, we will acknowledge Allstate agent Nancy McCabe of Watertown who this year won a national competition among agents to be the marketing face of the company's motorcycle insurance. Nancy was picked from among hundreds to go to Chicago for a professional photo shoot and now she is on posters, billboards and in magazine ads...
Ms McCabe has been a top Allstate agent for years and her office is on Route 11 in the Town of Watertown. Her family is well known and kudos to her for her new fame ! Might be too edgy for an Athena Award, but still a job well done.

Nancy looks great and like she can ride that hog too. I heard show today Mayor and I think Larry from Prague had it dead on. I won't rehash it, but wanted to thank him, for taking the time to second what I knew to be right and I knew it was clearly actionable. The show had been sanitized. It was wrong and the people I care about know how wrong it was for me to be put in that position by Joe and ensemble. I did nothing to provoke it! It was basically something that in the end was put aside by me and others out of deference to the Mayor of Watertown and Host of a great Blog and Radio call in show. The Blog and Radio call in show do a lot of good for this community. I would never put that into jeopardy over what I considered small potatoes. The truth is people get hot under the collar in the middle of a campaign and do things they probably would rather not have done. As for instance, when I was asked to comment on a certain politicians personal life, by someone I wouldn't want to pal wIith in anycase. I said, "The road of gossip or innuendo is froth with peril. That bottom line, I wanted my candidate to win on the merits of his program and ability to effectively and successfully advocate for it." Doheny's guys weren't effective advocates and got sore about it. So be it.

I believe and still believe that a formal apology is owed to Bill Owens. He's a gentlemen and never asked for one. He should never have never been called a Communist. He should have some one apologise period. What shouldn't be forgotten is you have people that can look past their ego and want to do what's right for you and the community you represent. As Mayor I feel you should be proud of that as anyone who cares about loyalty would be in a world short of it.

PS

I just had some time to kill so I thought I'd hear what went down of Glenn Curry's, 'Live at Five,' show which Larry from Prague was on during Election as guest etc. Now I'm assuming being as un-informed as Glenn says he is about the day under discussion when Joe went of on his tangent to me directly and Mayor indirectly, he'd avoid comment. At the very least avoid saying something like, "Well Joe was probably right, what did he have to apologize for anyway?" Well Mayor, this is the problem, Mr. D and Glenn Curry still think this is funny. Glenn acts like this hasn't been thoroughly discussed already but here he is beating the same horse. Why?

I think I'm going to insist on an apology being made to Rep. Bill Owens and Myself, for Mr. D. for saying I was a member and an operative for Workers Party' a attempt to smear me with being a socialist. Then Mr. Owens got called a Communist on Blog, etc. Frankly I'm telling everyone involved, get over the air with a sincere apology or I'll be looking at all my options including some legal as Larry suggested. Well Glenn I get it your a Doheny man. Election over, your still messing with the reputation, i.e. indirectly of a sitting member of Congress Rep.Bill Owens. It was Mr. Bill Owens I was defending to Joe along with President Obama's, saying no one should have the nerve to call them Communists.
