Pollsters have to keep busy when there is no election, especially when the pollsters are college-based and promote the name of the institution.
At Marist College they are polling the 2012 Presidential race and can tell use that President Obama would win a three way race that includes Sarah Palin and Mayor Mike Bloomberg as an independent candidate.
No surprise New Yorkers prefer the Democrat (Obama) 45-31-15.
While I don't see the mayor actually running, I cannot imagine Gov. Palin or any GOP nominee bothering much with this state...In that match-up you can count me in the 31% group.
The folks at Marist have to keep busy and there are many combinations of candidates they can poll for.

So many NYers getting Free Stuff, you can't expect any of us to vote for anyone that would upset the machine. We can always visit our kids somewhere else.
I'm surprised Bloomberg's numbers are so low. I'ld vote for him.
New York State is one of the most Democratic leaning states in the US. Pretty sure that there is nothing surprising there.
The Dems could run an Adolph Hitler, and Dan and Evul and MD34inNeverland would vote Donkey. Its just part of life. Nothing will change until the PARTY is not the sole issue anymore. With some, that will never be the case. I have no idea how it got this way.
After the GOTP destroys the economy I suspect and expect Obama carries all 48 states.
I also suspect and expect Alaska and Hawaii will be sold to eliminate the $9 Trillion debt.
Um, Jeff, that is a NATIONAL poll, not a NYS poll. Try reading the articles, rather than Sarah Palin'ing them (i.e., just making crap up).

To support her is to support the notion that a modicum of intellectual curiosity is a bad thing in a President.
I wonder how much of the students tuition money is wasted coming up with an idiot poll like this, telling us something we already know?
That poll also splits the opposition vote to The Annointed One. That could skew things a bit. Donkey voters would never consider voting for anything but a Donkey. Republicans and Independents would. Free Stuff is pretty much a united concept.
