Two years? Didn't we use to have 7% sales tax? And didn't NYC get the lions share of it when they raised it?
Look at all the politicians rushing to layoff and make cuts in the lame duck season when they have had an entire year to see what was coming and then some. Even Obama summoned the spirit of Ronald Reagan today.
