The race in AD 118 has been overshadowed by the big money races for Congress and State Senate, but it could be more interesting than originally thought. First term lawmaker Addie Russell has a liberal voting record but has been a very in touch and visible legislator. She was widely thought the favorite for reelection.
Then opponent David Forsythe mounted a late charge funded with tens of thousands of dollars of his own money and a suddenly omnipresent candidate in the Watertown area. Early on most people had thought Mr. Forsythe wasn't mounting a challenge...That has changed and without public polling its mostly a seat of the pants guess on who's ahead. I think Ms. Russell has the edge but I think an upset is possible.

I would not be surprised in the least Mr. Graham if Forsythe wins. It is a very anti-incumbent year. Addie has aligned herself right with the NYC Dem's, and now its coming back to haunt her.
Just another rubber stamp. Very little independence from the party leadership and refuses to acknowledge the need for reform.
1:58 way off. He is on track and been everywhere. This is going to be a much needed upset. Take the time to check her failing every aspect and open your eyes. The last thing Forsythe will be is a rubber stamp. Guaranteed!

I don't even think this should be an upset IF the voters know both candidates. Addie's voting record is suited for New York City constituents. Her failing grades from NUMEROUS groups rightly tell the story of her Liberal and OUT-OF-TOUCH voting record. Her ANTI-GUN stance is a slap in the face to those law-abiding north country constituents who enjoy traditional sports and who believe the Right to own firearms is spelled out in our country's Constitution.

Forsythe is owned by Doheny and some other upstate NY richies. He has been absolutely a failure as a county legislator. He cannot relate to people one on one and dosnt care to.. Ask neighbors about him. Ask employees about him. Second ammendment supporter only because he puts a handful of pheasants out to hunt and makes a lot of money off these birds.. Alot of pretend hunters like to go to his lodge for this... Everything there is geared to the buck... You think you have problems now just vote him into office.

Addie has been a failure of legislator. Massive tax and spending hikes. 99% shelly silver voting record. Waffling on wind. Doesnt think Albany needs reform. What more do you need to know?
Wow, sure sounds like Mikey (MCM) has started using the Annon posting. Bottom line is this, Forsythe HAS the answers to help us up here in the North Country. Addie has had her chance and has proven herself USELESS. She votes right in line with her downstate Dem's. She has forgotten WHO SHE REPRESENTS.

She ignores the wind development impacts that will destroy the value of every home within 5 to even ten miles of an industrial wind complex. Addie screwed the homeowner in the river district.
She also chose her successor to the County Leg seat, ready steady Al.
Addie is in it for herself anyways. Just watch the debate between her and David on youtube. A question was raised regarding term limits. Dave supports term limits and states that career politics needs to end. However, Addie states that she doens't beleive in term limits. Why? Because she is IN IT FOR HERSELF. She is just another LIBERAL DEMOCRAT who is attempting to make her elected posistion as assemblywoman a career for her future. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. If we the voters want somebody in Albany who is truly looking out for our best interests, then we need to support Dave Forsythe. He is a proven leader, a proven creater of jobs, and will stand up for those he represents in Albany. Addie has had her chance AND HAS FAILED US. Time for some new North Country leadership from a person who is in it for the North Country, NOT THEMSELVES. That is why Dave Forsythe has my vote come November 2nd.

Addie has been a rah rah from day one. She has a lot of show but no go. Only thing she has done for the county is vote for more gun control, how out of touch can she be.
