Hizzoner to Stump for Forsythe ?

Former NYC Mayor Ed Koch wants to come to NNY to campaign against Addie Russell......Russell opponent Dave Forsythe says he is a fan of Koch.
Koch contacted the GOP candidate yesterday and wants to rally in the 118th against Russell, who refused to sign Koch' New York Uprising pledge for political reform in Albany.
The pledge is about budget and ethical reform, term limits and non partisan redistricting.
"It's admirable a man who is retired and done his time would step forward to try and reform Albany...Hopefully Mayor Koch will be successful," Forsythe said during a visit today to Fort Pearl.
Ms. Russell has said she supports reform in the abstract, but is reluctant to sign specific pledges.

Wow!!!!! Wouldn't that be something to see Mayor Koch in the North Country. I just hope that both Koch and Forsythe reach out to Addie to see if she would attend the event and explain her woeful excuses for not signing such a pledge.

That's a pretty good get for Forsythe...

Go Dave Go...

Mr. Forsythe's interview on the "Hotline", was much more informative, and alive with energy, as Addie's was not. Don't know the guy, but wish him well.

Yup.. The previous three commentators like the idea an old NYC mayor comes here to influence our election of local officals. But the same three hates to see Aubertine do anything with NYC.. Typical Forsythe Bullsh--. If anyone is interested read todays Ogd Journal and see what the GOP is looking into cutting.. People who volunteer their time to the county for no cost and recieve only gas mileage in return may be cut. WOW.. They better think twice before doing this as they may have no drivers to volunteer. Then the state could mandate the county pick u; the tab in other ways..
for the entire mess up there.

Sheldon told her to avoid energy, to not answer questions of substance, etc. Whatever Sheldon tells her she does.

Sorry 6:53, but before you throw-out your Fred Dicker comments, please check with the folks making the comments.

Annon 6:53 - Didn't Senator Aubertine sign the pledge? I think so! How do you defend Addie now?

704.. I dont have to defend her nor does she have to defend herself. Its what she believes is right. Only the voters can decide whos right. I like you will cast one vote in this race. Yours can only be good if you vote for Addie. Thats because if you vote for Forsythe your vote dont count because mine will negate it.. Thats my right and yours.
By the way I,m sure Forsythe will sign anything to get elected. If he does get elected you better hope he does much better than he did as a County legislator. His excuse has always been hes in the minority. He still we be no matter what happens up here and he will still be against everything.

if by "everything" you mean more spending and taxes, then i think we need more people who are "against everything" in state government. State government is out of control, consuming taxpayer dollars, and it's time someone said no.

I really had a different take on
ADDIE's THE ONE:
Addie's visit, especially when she spoke about cost to demolish Mercy site; (up 10 mil.) but opted instead for a very proactive drive to attract new and taxable business to Mercy Hospital site so it doesn't turn a big junk of Watertown real-estate into a non-taxable eyesore. She's very smart and well spoken, a real lady an I feel meant for much bigger things in her political career. She spoke to bipartisan effots in Albany to get hings done, she's a real get things done lady. I was very impressed.

Middle-Class Mike - boy, you hit the nail on the head! "...she's meant for much bigger things in her political career..." that's what we need in the north country and state - a friggin' career politician. Don't think for a second that Addie would LOVE to see Aubertine get beat! MC Mike - taxpayers in the north country and across this state can't afford her ilk. Period.

Addie commands my respect and she doesn't need people like me to tell anyone she's a winner. Addie is everything a successful woman should be in my opinion.

i did not read Forsythe's name in the paper stating anything about gas mileage. Addie has to defend her poor job as a majority. If the mayor comes to the north country it would be great. The other one just did not get a raise must have a google search when Forsythe"s name comes up. I think if I were you I would be glad he is gone so raises will come steadily. Looks like 2 to 1 he is up.

Darrel didn't sign the pledge.

Annon 8:58 - Raises come steadily? Are you smoking dope? That "raise" money is taxpayers money they DON'T have! God, a mind is a terrible thing to waste...

MSM hear Doheney would not give you a job so you turned Dem.Addie commands respect? Give us all a couple eg's.You need to find a new hobby because you are supporting all the losers this time around>

858 You seen no comments about gas mileage.. GOP leader Joe LIghtfoot wants to cut.. I simply stated its the GOP way in the county.. Make noise and no substance no solution. If you didnt see these comments it because you have eye problems.

I'll go out on a limb for you because you like to make fun of us dumb donkeys so much. If Addie stays focused on politics she'll at the very least become Lt. Gov., hopefully in my lifetime.

923.. My dues have been paid. Ive done by tour have you.. I have never voted for a loser but people I have voted for have lost. You are strictly voting for a loser if you vote for Forsythe and or Ritchie. I,m not going to vote any differently than ever. I am going to vote for who I think would be best for this area. The same as you I assume.. The one thing is I never have voted for a loser as you are about to.

Possibly Koch and friends can come up and hunt some pheasants with Dave. DAve you know is pro gun. Pro life, Anti everything else..

Hey MMM what has AJR done for the area? Other than to build her resume up for the next step in politics. Think about it, member money? Taking credit for a prison that will be closed in 5 yrs.

And to follow up on 11:09, she is HARDLY bipartisan Middle Class Mike. She is one of the most liberal people on the assembly and deserves to get voted out. If you enjoy seeing business leave New York and our taxes skyrocket out of control as the spending on wasteful government programs increases, by all means vote for Addie. But I am certain that I will be in the majority when I say I support Dave Forsythe for some real change in Albany.

Im disappointed that I may have enough money to take a vacation this year. That means one thing: my state taxes are too low. Im voting for Addie because Im sure if I give her 2 more years she can fix the discrepency.

Middle-Class Mike said...

Look its really kind of a silly discussion, she's way ahead of this guy ... in every respect not just the vote count.

Middle-Class Mike - you can awake now from your dream.... Back to reality - for most of us that means working more, earning less, paying higher taxes all the while observing these elected bozos taking down our state.

Mike, I pray you teach math or something and not a social science of some sort. Because it is teachers like you who have no problem brainwashing the youth of America with your liberal ideas. You can hardly surpress your joy for far left liberals such as Russel, Aubertine, and Owens. We on the blog can see past your partisan ways and essentially ingonore your off the cuff and ignorant comments. I just am afraid your students don't understand that you are simply another Obamanite who will say/do anything to get your leftist ideas across.

Many of us have been making the mistake of reading MMM's entries and giving his argument's a fair hearing. It never leads to anything but nonsense. Different blogs have different standards of writing. It isn't the point of view, as we have Dan and MD23 and others who support what they say effectively. MMM is another matter. We need to lighten up on the guy and let him vent. If he votes, use this as an example of why we're in the trouble we're in.
