A possible bit of good news for Matt Doheny from the adjacent Congressional district......CD 20 is too our east and southeast and is a Republican area won by Democrat Scott Murphy a couple years back. Now GOP candidate Chris Gibson has turned a 17 point deficit to a 9 point lead in the latest Siena Poll.
The district is similar in makeup and voting history to the 23rd where Doheny seeks to oust another recent Democratic takeover in Rep. Bill Owens.

Omens, omens Mr. Mayor, mine is Rep Bill Owens wins,, because he's a Representative for all the people of NY 23, not just the privileged few that Matt Doheny speaks to and whose interest he dwells on night and day. And that's not class war-fare that's my view of how it really is in this race Mr. Mayor. I think people appreciate your telling them you support Mr. Doheny, because not everyone drives past your business or home to gain that incite. Just because the GOP wants to regain the seat, which had been in GOP hands for 135 years, does not equate to it being in good hands.
Doheny is rabid just like all the other GOP-TEAers in waiting; then to do what? A much damage as possible while saying they are cleaning up?
Their words simply do not support their intentions.
I doubt that there is a spillover from NY20. Matt Doheny has been back home in NY23 for only two years after he lost his job on Wall Street. He needed something to do and has adopted a conservative tea party agenda to run for Congress. Bill Owens is a moderate Democrat who has lived and worked in NY23 for over 30 years and has proven himself capable of representing the district. Rep. Owens is closer to the practical kind of politician that has always represented Northern New York.
Owens needs to GO because his actions do not match the good intentions the libtards say he has. Voting yes for socialized Nancycare, took our broken expensive health care system and makes it ten times worse and ten times more expensive. What a freaken' idiot Owens is!

We already had an "A" for access. It was cost that was the problem all along! Oh Well...what's a trillion dollars amongst democrats anyways?
I'll tell you what it is...eight years for republicans or eight weeks for democrats. Personally I would rather see the banks get it as a loan and pay it back than see the 200k/year UAW workers and government workers get it in the form of outrageous benefits.

6:02 - Doheny is on a leave of absence from his job, he didn't lose his job. Essentially he walked away from a seven figure job to run for congress. That actually does sound a little crazy to me, but it is definitely a mis characterization to claim he lost his job and ran for office as a back up plan. This is clearly part of a deliberate plan.
