Giuliani Swoops in to Back Doheny

Former NYC Mayor Rudy Giuliani told a crowd at the Watertown Aipport today that electing Matt Doheny was an essential part of ending the agenda of Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and President Barack Obama.
Mayor Giuliani made stops in Plattsburgh and Watertown on behalf of Doheny who is battling Rep. Bill Owens for NY23.
Doheny told the crowd polls show him up by a little but that this is very much a district where turnout determines the winner.
Mr. Giuliani decried the passing of ObamaCare and said Americans are distraught with the values and agenda being pushed by Washington.
Mr. Giuliani also defended NYC and Wall Street from attacks in commercials.....In the crowd was State Senate hopeful Patty Ritchie who excoriates the City in her adds in an effort to discredit the Senate Democratic majority.
Other candidates were present for the endorsement by Mr. Giuliani and myself.

5:01 Is that really what you have to say? "Creepy right wing?" Your party has taxed and spent us into oblivion, and this is what you have to say in response? Not good. Extremely weak.

4:53 Did you know that there are people on Madison avenue making millions in the advertising business? You know why? Because advertising works.

If it is not going to change anyone's vote then maybe it will change someone's mind about staying home and sitting on their hands. Rudolph is definitely an icon...I'm not sure about him being a "GOP icon"...not that that is a bad thing.

7:14 Wgara --

Most real folks are sick and tired of Madison ave and Wall st fatcats who spew this un-ending nonsense for their political friends and offer zero substantive quality assurance in terms of improving peoples lives who actually do pay the taxes !

These Greed hogs are part of the problem not the solution

7:25 What do you mean by real folks? Is that like the real 'Merica Palin speaks about?

Most ADULTS understand what is at stake and are tolerant of the process knowing that it won't sway their vote but it WILL sway the votes of dumbasses like yourself and thus makes the ends justify the means.

Grow up.

Hey 7:25 you are the fool I am grown up , very well educated with several advanced degrees and have a professional background and have worked all my life , owned my own business and also worked in both private and public sectors for 4 decades and BTW can't stand Palin or these phonies either .

So Bozo you can grovel with your Madison Ave slimebags but -- you and they are the problem --idiot.

I may be an idiot but I am smart enough to understand that stupid people are allowed to vote too and so the campaign has to target them too.
And I am smart enough to know that some smart people don't vote even though they could, and the campaign has to target them too.

And that makes me smarter than you...

Now...by all means, please go on and continue to complain about these charade endorsements that do no good...but really do...'til your hearts content.

Owens, Doheny square off in televised debate Republican Plattsburgh Press Republican Wed Oct 27, 2010, 06:32 PM EDT

At one point Doheny said:
"More lies. He's lying right here on television," Doheny said in response to Owens's claim that Doheny, with his Wall Street background, supports big corporations and not middle-class Americans.

I just thought I'd ask you uys in all sincerity, "How was Owens lying? Really I can't fiqure this one out.

Anonymous said...

We don't need a guy that's good with numbers. We just need a guy that's not a socialist idiot and would not vote for things like Obamacare. Especially without reading it first.

Bye bye comrade Owens.

Good with numbers ?? thats a laugh!!

How is he with getting JOBS , maintaining SS benefits , ensuring the end to 2 useless wars, getting health insurance for those with previous conditions , keeping the insurance companies from dumping these folks, and keeping American Jobs HERE not outsourced ?

You Libs speak out of both sides of your mouth. You hate Doheny because he went to NYC made money and came home but you love MacGrath even though he did the same thing. I guess thats because he was a "farmer" like Darrell. I grew up on a farm and never wore a dress shirt when feeding the hogs! must be Darrell is a "gentleman farmer".

Anonymous said...

And Giuliani is supposed to persuade me? He was one of the biggest cheerleaders of George Bush and the Iraq War.

Anonymous said...

McGrath isn't in my district so i have no horse in that race so what 's your point

I'm Independent and see no point to supporting carpetbaggers who buster n' stew and blow smoke with no real plan just "talking points ". from the party bosses

Rudy who?

Why would anyone want to be associated with a man who either didn't have the courage to tell his wife to her face that he was divorcing her or so vicious as to publicly humiliate her by telling her via a press conference. Yes, I am one of those people who believe that how a person behaves in private is a mirror as to how they will behave in public office. You are marked by the company you keep.

Anonymous said...

Is that a rhetorical question?
It's not like Rudy and Matt hang out together.
Rudy appeals to moderates in spite of his flaws.
If you were Owens would you turn down Bill Clinton's endorsement and ask him not to visit? I wouldn't.

Anonymous said...

Does Rudy know that Matt is a drunk and womanizer. At least that is the story going around. I sear I saw his mom on one of Andrew Cuomo's commercials. I wouldnt vote for Doheny ever. He is a big dollar guy that only wants to help his own. Mayor you seem to like guys with the bucks. Have him play some quick draw you must still have the tapes. Maybe you can make big money off from him like you did the poor guy who went to prison.

Ya rudy loves woman to and love his booze...
