Darrel and His Not Like us Friends

As the Democratic Senate majority devolved into scandal and varying degrees of chaos last year, and Darrel Aubertine was pictured standing next to what could be perceived as menacing, thuggish ethnically different people like Sen. Malcolm Smith, Senator Pedro Espada, Senator John Sampson, Senator Kevin Parker, Senator Hiram Montserrate and others...I was wondering whether you could get away with appealing to base instincts on race and stereotype....
The GOP is giving it a try in direct mail and TV spots depicting Senator Aubertine between members of the NYC based "thugocracy" that rules the Senate.
Its all part of making the "one of us" guy into one of them.
Its a little edgy, but if nobody calls you on it, it might work move a few voters in a close race.
Let's see how far they take it.

I will vote for Darrel because I don't view him as part of that Thug empire down there. I see him as an individual and I don't think he's a crook. Now Addie Jennie Russell is another story. She is one of Sheldon's little idiots. There is nothing "individual" about her. She is an in the bag vote for everything those idiots want to do. There is a world of difference between Darrel and Addie Jenne Russell.

Darrel is the minority and the ethnically different one in that crew. If Senator Park was on the floor I would be packing, just for personal protection, lol.

These are his colleagues, he lives, sleeps, and VOTES with them. He may be able to shake some of the fleas but his voting record, 96% of the time with NYC Democrats, will stick with him and is hurting NNY.

I think the left should reject Darrel for the same reason that the moderates and right rejected Dede. Darell is to far right for them. That's what they should do is get the left to stay at home on voting day.

He's not one of us and he's not one of them either.

Anon 9:12 why reject him he votes with them on just about evey issue. Everyone needs a lap dog, and he fits the bill.

9:20, I did not make my point well.
What I meant is that instead of or in addition to attacking Darrel from the right they should attack him FOR the left...get the left to stay home or write in someone.

Darrel has no ethics, he voted on issues in which he would receive a financial benefit. Oh, and he didn't vote against them!!
TERMINATE Darrel!!!

Darrel supported Pedro, voted for him....he didnt use his leverage as a deciding vote on anything. (I amd Republican but I don't defend the coup....Espada and Montserrat were/are trash)

I would like to see Patty Richie get it over Darryl being that is if she says she will help people when they need help and respond back. Darryl is too busy with his things and does not care about the people here. He is like all the others. I hope Patty is who she says.

Darrel is easily led by his fellow Democrats. He knows if he doesn't follow, there will be no money for reelections. On occasion his friends allow him to "stand up for the North Country" (Ogdensburg prison) but I'm sure if they get back into office you will see Ogdensburg prison close. Darrel has been in Albany too long and he now acts just like the rest of them. Spend, spend, spend. It's time to throw out the old and bring in the new. WE NEED TERM LIMITS. If they won't vote to give them to us, we need to make our own.

Darrel's time has come. He has to go. He has sucked up to the big boys too long and too often.
Patty is part of the solution. Darrel is part of the problem.

JOBS JOBS JOBS

New York-based firms picked up and moved at least 407,558 jobs to other states from 1993 to 2007, we found. Meanwhile, firms moving into New York from other states brought just 259,090 jobs with them. Measured as a percentage of total jobs at the start of the period, New York's net out-migration of 148,508 jobs was the biggest loss of any state.

By all means, New York needs to fix its tax and regulatory policies to retain and encourage expansion by its existing large employers.

Darrel Aubertine has been in Albany for 8 of the years that this report has tracked jobs and voted for some of the largest taxes increases in our history. Don't let him fool you about his job creation, he has not changed anything

A good reason not to elect any incumbent. New Taxes per person in New York State are the highest in the nation at $419 since 2009.

Aubertine should be gone!

You knock State Sen. Darrel Aubertine, and Bill Owens, without mentioning Spitzer or George Bush Jr. or who was your big-time player in DC during that period; destroying the national economy and NYS's economy at the time of which your speaking. In two seconds you'll turn around and accuse us DEMS of Tunnel vision. Here's a little tip, when it comes to JOBS JOBS JOBS, you Republicans have ignored even talking abut it this election. And then the TEABUGGERS and REPUBLICANS dragged people through the mud for looking for a JOB. Open up the door your stench is killing me. Vote Democratic if you care about JOBS! JOBS! JOBS!

I vote against candidates who call me at home at night.
B.O.'s voluteers did that the other night. And sounded so surprised when I was displeased with them telling me who to vote for.

Mike, are you suggesting that Spitzer was voted in by Republicans? It might behoove you to post less often and make sure that when you do you have something useful to contribute.

Middle-Class Mike...Spitzer's a Dem, and the first Dem governor in 12 years. Remember the 'roaring 90s'? That was all Pataki...

Spitzer worked very closely with Bush, Jr. thats why he's mentioned.

I agree with our wanna be educator. NY's problems are the fault of GWBush. Our spending and #1 ranking regarding loss of jobs and youth is GWBush. The reason we are so stupid is GWBush. He put something in our water that made us love taxes and hate industry. I can't imagine how he did it but that GWBush was a slick son of a gun.

MMM, if you get hired, you'll make the best teacher ever. You have all the facts memorized.

Middle class mike thinks he has all the answers keep going back in time. This is happening now on the Dems watch. This happing with a Dem gov, Dem Senate, and Dem, Assembly, Dem House, Dem Senate and a Dem President.
You would think something would be getting better. GW had a great affect on NYS, the most liberal, highest taxed state in the Union. NYS has been like this for years.
You are off base everytime you type.

Anon 11:17, we just are amazed at how you guys drone on about all the things you hate about us, while we work to sweep the election Nov 2.
