WDT: A Good Day for Matt and Patty !

Finally its over....Matt Doheny declared the winner last week's GOP primary....The WDT call is a result of the Doheny lead being in excess of the few remaining absentee ballots.
Now it doesn't matter whether Doug Hoffman "concedes" or not...IT's OVER !
Congratulations to Mr. Doheny and let's see what happens next.
In another matter Senator Darrel Aubertine lost an attempt to deny his opponent a spot on Carl Paladino's Taxpayer Party....I guess she supports him now....Aubertine had contested the independent line petitions but his trip to court came up short.

I think the Hoffman race goes to recount.

But he loses no matter what, Tong.
The question is what's he gonna do now. Owens/Pelosi awaits. If Hoffman stays in, so does Owens/Pelosi. I wish I could see it another way but I don't.

Owens/Pelosi is not the issue. The issue is constitutionality and conservatism. Family values. I agree with Demint, 30 traditionalists are better than 60 rinos.

Hoffman is beat, no money, all he can do now is be a spoiler for Doheny. Doug time to lick your wounds and go home.

He wins this race running away if he gets the Palin nod again. He needs to stay in it, even if we lose. Gotta send the message to the rinos in charge in NY. Can't depend on us conservatives anymore. Shape up or you are done for.

Aubertine is running scared.Look at the money he is handing out.His numbers are low.Where did all this money come from. These senators are all hiding money and all lieing about it.

Anonymous said...

Hey 8:09 you are right, He's handing out more money, all taxpayers money, AJR hasn't handed any out yet, Although the flier is somewhat of a laugh.

""Doug time to lick your wounds and go home."
I wonder if the home Doug returns to is in the 23rd CD or not?

Who's the RINO? People are trapped in 2009. Doheny ain't Dede people. You can try and confuse people into thinking so but anyone who listened to either of those debates knows better.

He was first moved out of NY23 due to democratic gerrymandering, then moved back to the district due to democratic whining. Do a little homework 8:41.

8:42 trouble with Doheny is that Doug isn't saying what will get him elected.

Doug lost. The PEOPLE have decided. A MAJORITY is a MAJOIRTY. I don't care how close. Doug lost. Move on. Go Matt. If Doug keeps up this BS of a campaign, all that is going to happen is we are going to have Doug as the spoiler and 2 more years of Bill Owens. From what Mr. Hoffman has said, he was against that idea. Well Doug, time to put your money where your mouth is. Are you going to run becuase you wanna try and prove a point? Or are you going to do the HONORABLE thing and concede like a grown up? Decesions need to be made. Enough is enough. Time to stop this CHILDISH in fighting, and look forward to the general election.

If Hoffman stays in he has a chance to beat Owens, Doheny dosnt. Ritchie is not a real issue whith me because by now everyone knows what she is all about.. A popular name that everyone recognizes. This is what the GOP is all about this year. Ritchie was going to run for the 118th last year but her son got in trouble in some sort of gang attack at a school. The bottom line is she folded under the pressure and dropped out of the race. The GOP was so hard up they begged her on this year . She is remaining mum as she dosnt know what issues there is to talk about. She talks taxes, jobs etc.but they all do. I am not a Aubertine fan however he did come through on the prison affair over in Ogdensburg Aubertine, Ritchie will vote with Donkeys and elephants all of the time.. We need a real Senator....

Nothing honorable about letting a mini me Owens in to office. Stand up for your principles! Run Doug, Run!

You north country conservatives need to focus. Do you want more of the same, or do you want more North Country values? Focus people. Hoffman and Paladino are our guys, and Patty is far better than Aubertine.

Doheny and the GOP leaders are just as much the spoilers.
Doheny should drop out.
All that money and support and he barley squeaks out a 2% win.
Pathetic!
Admit you made a mistake by not supporting Hoffman and put all your money behind him and he wins.
Stay with Doheny and who knows what will happen.

(:9:09 you are on some cheap drugs get the good ones,Just go across the street from Fort Pearl crack house is up and runing again.

Tong, I'm not with you on this one. Owens/Pelosi is what brought us the destruction of our healthcare system. It could very well bankrupt the country. We have to win. We have to get rid of the Donkey majority. If we don't the damage will be irreversable. Doheny would be an ally in stopping the damage. God help us if Owens/Pelosi continues to be allowed to run this country. We're on the same side, just different roads.

I'm no fan of Aubertine but I think Ritchie would get swallowed up in Albany. She has no real platform other then lower taxes and stimulate the economy but offers no solutions. Been there, done that. Nothing comes from her own mouth, it's either her campaign people or the common sense people.

Anonymous said...

9:46 I sort of agree, but I think we need to look at the big picture here, this is a long term issue.

Tong

9:46 I believe we are right. You and I have to convince America we know what we are talking about.

Doin my part, how about you?

Ritchies campaign manager is crowing fowl play by Aubertine.. Lets be real.. If you were running for office and found that almost 1200 signatures were invalid you wouldnt protest it to the courts. Yes you would. He did the right thing. Its her campaign thats trying to pull a fast one..
Its time Ms. Ritchie stood up and announced her platform. Tell us what she will do then give details on how she will accomplish it. She wont do that. She cant do that. If Paladino keeps gaining support she will attach to his coatstrings if he starts droppin off she will remain mum... THIS IS NOT THE RESUME OF A GOOD SENATOR. Have an opinion of your own be known.

I see that Aubertine is using taxpayer dollars to finance his campaign with all of the colorful mailings paid for by the NYS Senate. THat's simply unacceptable.

'Pathetic Patty' would be the hand puppet to the stronger Long Island GOP leaders.

I see no backbone in her - a go-with-the-flow person.

What political experience has she had prior to being St Law County Clerk? Her bio doesn't state any work experience prior to that point.

I am totally dumbfounded by people who think she is the ideal Senate candidate.

I am a strong Republican but I WILL NOT vote for her ... she's the wrong candidate for the GOP nod!

Darrel has so much backbone that he voted with party bosses 100% of the time last year.

Anonymous said...

951, You are simply lieing, by saying he voted with party bosses 100 percent of the time. Look at the issues, farm labor, anti gun laws he has stood up to the party leaders on many important issues. If only partisan jackasses could look past their blinders and vote for good qualified people like Aubertine this state wouldn't be in this mess! News flash: whichever party is in control makes no difference, have you all forgotten about the pataki-bruno era? Let's try electing good qualified proven candidates, and I'm sorry but just because Patty is a republican it doesn't make her the qualified.

Anonymous said...

Im not lying and im not a republican. In the 2009 session, Aubertine always voted with Senate president Malcolm Smith. 640 times, in fact.

If that is the case than Smith voted against farm labor, against the microstamping bill, against sweeping th snowmobile trail fund. Face it you are full of crap 716. Aubertine has been the one independent voice in Albany. He has not voted 1oo percent with anyone. He has backbone and looks out for his constituency and this state. Good luck with Patty Ritchie, she isn't sure where she stands on anything. Just remember anyone who will tell you anything you want to hear cannot be trusted. I.e. Ritchie

11:39,
I was referring to last year. Those votes occurred this year, so I guess Aubertine probably has a 98 or 99% voting record this year. He cast the deciding vote to tax clothing, bail out the NYC subway system, eliminate Star rebate, raise taxes electric bills, change the cenuss rules, raise taxes on health insurance, etc.
