Doug Hoffman is waiting till all the votes are counted before deciding what to do with his Congressional bid....Unofficials returns have him down by 600 to Matt Doheny with a little less than 2000 absentees outstanding....
Hoffman is still the nominee of the Conservative Party, which has its own challenges.
There is no harm in waiting...Doheny will proceed with his campaign against Bill Owens while Hoffman ponders whether its a winnable proposition to proceed in an active three way race....
At some point doesn't your wife say, 'Honey, quit wasting the money for our golden years." Fundraising prospects for Hoffman are slim so any funding would have to be mostly his own.

Doug, drop out. You lost. Be a man and admit it. Stop wasting money and time. This is getting rediculous. If you truly want some good representation in Washington, DO NOT split the vote and let Bill Owens win AGAIN. You lost, Matt won. Be a man and bow out. If you don't, you are only hurting the district which you claim you love.
As a strong supported of Hoffman, I was very disappointed in the outcome last night. At least we had a chance to choose our candidate this time, and did not have DeDe forced upon us. I am ready to give my support to Doheny now and take back out seat in the House.

The rules for a SPECIAL ELECTION do not call for a primary. There was no time to organize such an election before the normal November election. The County Chairs did what they were presribed to do by state election law. It was not an "old boy's club" referendum. Your boy Hoffman lost then and he lost yesterday. Get over it and move on.

Off topic I know, but this O'Donnell thing in Delaware baffles me. Here is a woman who can not manage her own finances (bankruptcy, her questionable practice of having her prior campaign contributions paying a portion of her rent, never really holding a job for any period of time) is now running on a platform of fiscal responsibility? And people are buying it? Saw her tonight on Hannity and she seems awfully lightweight. These Tea Party people seem like a bunch of con artists to me, in a Rev Lovely/Steve Bryant sort of way. I just don't trust them.

The primary was fair and square Dougie. Don't waste your families estate/inheritance on a losing proposition.
It is crystal clear now that Doheny is alot harder worker than Hoffman.
Obviously, Doheney has a strong work ethic that has brought him from rags to riches and now he wants to work for the taxpayers of the 23rd. I am a democrat of 30 plus years and enough is enough. Next we need to get rid of Silver and Schumer!! Look out god ole boys your reign is over!
Just because you have been bankrupted doesn't necessisarily mean you can't manage money. Some of the most sucessfull business people in this countries history have gone bankrupt before moving on to sucess.
Then let her prove herself to be financially successful and THEN run for office. Right now she has no credibility. I see on Drudge she is 11 points behind the Democrat for Biden's seat. A seat Castle would have won handily. I think the Tea Party is really a trojan horse sent by the Democrats.

Where was Barie last year???His candidate could not speak in public, ducked every debate he could and had very little understanding of any local issues..Talk about throwing your candidate under a bus ..Does anyone know if Barie gets paid or has expenses reimbused from his organization? If so where does the money come from?
