Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has put NY's junior Senator in perspective.....Mr. Reid called Kirsten Gillibrand, the Senate's "hottest member."
Senator Gillabrand has lost weight this year and is by most accounts an attractive woman....but how unseemly is it to reduce her to this stereotype ?
Well, its OK to the feminists because the slight came from a prominent Democrat....

Ugh...can you imagine if a Republican had said this? He's be run out of town.
Harry Reid will be re-elected, remain Majority Leader and continue being a do-nothing, taxpayer funded "dolt".
Good word Mayor...she is a hottie though.
Reid's remarks were not suitable for the majority leader....
yeah, no double standard in msm for d vs r
Good thing there are no dolts in north country politics
harry is nothing more than a democratic lounge lizard....kinda like our VP who has an eye for the ladies. they must run together in the hot spots of DC.
anybody remember Bella Abzug? times have sure changed.......
Q:Which is the hardest title to win?:
Hottest senator
Hottest supreme court judge
Smartest Obama voter
A:none of the above...any woman selected at random would likely be all three
We all are way too sensitive about these matters of speech-patrol and got-cha' politics ...
Especially when it comes out of the mouth of Republicans and Conservatives, eh Dan????
Remember Dan, you're the guy who called Republicans racists. You can't get more "gotcha" than that. You're the one who clings to every word Palin says, just hoping to get something to throw at her. Can't get more "speech-patrol" than that. And sensitivity. None of us can approach a good Donkey when it comes to sensitivity. You be the master. The only reason you're defending Reid is because he's a Democrat. You have to respond this way. There's not an independent thought in your head.
No profanity please.
Oh yes, Bella Abzug. I'm getting excited.
Politicians need to refrain from this type of foolishness, it does not sit well with me and I am sure many others as well.Or, was Mr.Reid using this as a stunt, to try and sway her on future issues that come up for a vote. It is not beyond politicians to use this tactic.
I don't think its a stunt, Rick. Reid is a dope who doesn't have to choose his words. He's a great and powerful dork. I think it just goes to show you how the biased press will protect the Dems from statements they would crucify the Republicans for. And imagine if it were a TeaParty candidate. The press and Dannie types would be foaming at the mouth for a month.
Hiding behind an Anonyous label is a bad as or maybe worse than any "speech" patrol.
FYI: I have never called any Republican here a racist ... some on the national stage are, however, and it is painfully obvious based on their racist remarks: Limbaugh, Hannity, Beck just to name three.
Yes you did. You did it right here, Dannie. You labeled the entire Republican party racist. You did it during one of your tantrums. The reason I won't let you off the hook is you never backed off and you never apologized. We can review this topic as many times as you want.
I don't blame you for the ploy. It has worked far more often than it has failed. But people are getting tired of it. You have to be careful of when you trot it out. You weren't. You party line Donkeys have to learn that dumping money on issues doesn't mean you care, especially when your methods don't work. You've wasted a mountain of money on feel good stuff, and when called on the ineffectiveness of many programs your defense is to call others racist. It doesn't work anymore.
