Doheny Has More Than Just Footballs in Backing Paladino in Public

Good for Matt Doheny....He goes on TV and embraces Carl Paladino instead of this mealy mouth crap from Lazio Republicans who provide aid and comfort to the Democrats.
Mr. Doheny got a mention for his views from the NYDN as a contrast to the defunct Lazio who is still whining about Carl's e-mails....
Doheny always says he is a Republican first and proves it by saying he wants to be an agent of change just like Paladino.....
Since Sarah Palin uttered the word "cajones" in a political context it ok to use it...
By being one Republican who publicly backs Paladino, Doheny has "cajones."

Okay, just so no one thinks there's a cajones gap here, Owens wants to tax the Rich; and that takes big caj.....

And Mayor on your Blog, you have a right to your opinion, I'm tired of the Blog rudeness lately! Lets
all be respectful of the Mayor period.

The bs about "taxing the rich" takes no cajones at all. Its the same ol' crap we've been hearing for a long time and it is a dishonest argument. It is simply Nancie and Obuma verbage desperately attempting to salvage their ass when everything they've done has been a complete mess.

Oh yeah. Let's be more polite. Got it. Where did you say you taught, MMM? Like Dannie, it's easy for you to be nicey. You're entitled. How much will you be paying for health care? I thought so.

Apparently "cojones" = lack of brains.

Honestly...what is brave about taxing the rich? That half that pay no federal income taxes don't mind and won't get mad at ya.

Problem is that I paid $800,000.00 in federal income taxes last year. And while it might not be the percentage you would like, it is still way more than you will likely pay in your entire life. So how is that a "tax break" for me if I pay more in a year than you will pay in your whole life?

Oh Rich man, I think your attention deficit disorder is in play here, (ADD) not big wallet, bright light, big caj.....
Polite, easy, with you, nah, it's not easy, trust me.

By the way thanks for making my point for me, its not how much you pay, its how much it hurts. People are hurting, and some have had huge tax years, but don't have to shout it out to the world. But what would you know about that your always voting your big fat wallet, and running your big fat m.... See being polite can be tough.

There are right thinking people of enormous monetary holdings, who know its right for the rich to be taxed at higher rate, and pal, their going to be very soon.

Well Mr Thoughtful, if half the country is paying no taxes at all, and the "rich" are paying more and more because we hate them so, then how do we attempt to get the economy moving again to provide the jobs that were promised to all the unwashed masses out there? I realize it goes unnoticed by your type, but unemployment is out of control due to your "tax the rich" populist bs. I assure you Mr Part Time Education Specialist, rich people are not the problem. And taxation is not the problem. The issue is spending. But then again you and yours get your fair share of the peoples' money so that may not be a problem to you. You talk about how much things hurt. Whether it be taxes or health care costs, nothing much hurts you. But you earned it.

And regarding being polite. Am I to understand that agreeing with you makes one polite, while disagreeing makes one stupid? Very good. I can see you've been hiding in a classroom for a long time.

Anonymous, like your 'Anonymous' but I'm hiding - I get it. Frankly, I just wish the 'Good Mayor', would push for me to get a teaching job; instead of me wasting away with a 6th year in education, which is going to be my lot in life. See I shamelessy seek employment too. I have a lot of faults, and I apologize if I infringed on your right to call me part of the unwashed masses. I'm only part of the unwashed masses on Mon. and Weds., so cut me some slack.

Lets agree to disagree,

MMM

Sixth year in education? Whatever. You are doing the right thing. The most important step you can take when attempting to become employed as a educator is to talk the talk. You're doing that. They don't like their little version of the truth being questioned. Stay the course. Seriously, good luck to you. Part of our problem is we can't get new blood into the system. The fact that you mix it up with people like me shows you'd be a good guy to get into a classroom. You're still part of the real world.

I used to think like that, until I realized where I came from. People are entitled to thier hopes and dreams, which includes the ability to make as much money as they can. That's what the American dream is all about. Money means different things to different people, a buck to some ,may be a hundred bucks ,to someone else. The old saying goes "it takes money to make money", but also, it takes money ,to move money. If money doesn't move, people do not work.

MMM,
This is 4:18 here.
Not sure why you’re angry with me.
For disagreeing with you I guess? So be it.

I don’t think I shouted out anything to the world.
Only a few people read this and I am anonymous besides, but I am telling you where my perspective is from.

I agree it is right for the rich to be taxed at a higher rate. And they are.
I am taxed at the higher rate of $800,000.00/year.
If your income is from teaching a few days a week then you are taxed at a much lower rate…a negative rate…negative $5,000.00/year or something like that counting your earned income tax credit.
“Enormous monetary holding” are not taxed and is irrelevant because only “income” is taxed.

Not sure how I proved your point or how you measure how much it “hurts”.
I can tell you hurting me, hurts you, because my income goes toward creating jobs and increasing the quality of life for many people when it is not taxed away from me.

Maybe instead of hating on the rich you should become one???

8:02 What is your annual income?

I do not agree that the rich should be taxed at a higher rate. When was the last time a poor man offered you a job?

We live in an age where what mine is mine and what's yours I'm entitled to. In that atmosphere, we will never be able to have an honest discussion about taxes. That's why we have a system where half the folks in the country pay nothing at all. And the Donkey party still trots out bs about taxing the rich. That's why we have no jobs. If I am ever fortunate enough to gather a significant fortune, I'll sit on it and create nothing. I'll be damned if I will have it taxed where it becomes a gift to those entitled to others hard work. Ambition is a dirty word in this nation. Sit back, file a lawsuit, and get what you're entitled to.

Hey, one millionaire endorsing another millionaire - nothing new there.

Think of the policies they could work on together with an Albany-DC connection?

Danny guess what...
Owens
Doheny
Hoffman
all millionaires
Better throw a different turd and see if it sticks.

No, he's got his hand stuck on that one and he won't let go. Dannie is entitled to squeeze anything he wants. He comes from that old school populist drivel corps that hates people who make money. Especially when they have no money worries of their own do to us owing them. Nah, no matter how bad or expesive health care or taxes become, Dan will have his own little system to take advantage of. Makes it easier to support a disaster when it doesn't have anything to do with you.

Rep. Ike in the 50's taxed the Rich at 91 percent, Rep. Nixon taxed the Rich at 70 percent, and in recent years the rate is 36 percent under a Rep./Dem. President. Cutting the Bush Tax Breaks, moves the tax rate back up to 39 percent for the Rich. Cry all you want to about it, its going to happen, and I couldn't be happier about its deficit cutting value. It won't stop anyone from hiring or expanding.

Stop acting like your the only one that ever had to pay up when you earned big. Your sounding like a joke!

Many of us have had our good years and bad years. But that isn't possible in your mind. You think it's impossible that we paid through the nose and didn't cry about it.

I paid through the nose and didn't cry about it,and I never accused anyone else of not being a good earner. What you earn is your business, what we're taxed is public domain. Get over yourself and pay up like the rest of us do.

Midle-Class and proud of it.

No one actually ever paid those rates or even close to them.
Well, actually RR might have one time.

When I was a young impressionable teenager I remember one of Reagan’s stories about the first time he made $100k on his first big movie and he was going to have to give most of it to the government in taxes. He cried to his accountant and his accountant told him he should have come to him sooner and he could have hidden all that income.

It was one of the turning points in Reagan’s political life. He said to himself, no one should pay that much in taxes and no one should be able to use loopholes to not pay taxes.
Eventually he signed the tax simplification act of 1986.
That was the end of the average person owning shares in oil wells and racehorses and even apartment buildings lost their appeal.

But that was a nice try MMM

BTW if it is the fifties you pine for be careful what you wish for. Middle class in the fifties was way below today’s standard for poverty. You would spend a lot more time working than you do today…for a lot less of a standard of living. But since there were a lot less millionaires to hate, maybe you would sleep better?

You know it is not easy being wealthy? You spend a lot of time fending off the zoo or the hospitals or the DPAO and eventually have to give them your hard earned money just to get them to leave you alone. Do you know how much it costs just to get a 15k mile service on a Mercedes GL550 SUV? Everyone’s got problems.

Is P.J. blogging now?

That 8:44 is great. Please, tell me how much it costs to service a Mercedes GL550SUV. It must not be easy being rich. Good for you.
