Just saw the Bill Owens ad ripping Matt Doheny over being too Wall Street...Its all about restructuring at Adelphia Cable...I vaguely remember the controversy, but Owens did enough research to make it look not so good for Matt. Of course these kind of spots are snippets of reality but they can be effective.
After months of running against the haphazard campaign of Doug Hoffman, it seems Mr. Doheny is going to get his first taste of major league pitching.

Doh!
Hoffman is still looking for a date to the big dance and I'm sure he wouldn't hold it against you that you asked Doheny first.
Will Nancie be there, telling Owens when he can take a pee break and when to form his face into a flat sheet of fiberglass, like she does. She looks embalmed. Which we will be too if Owens/Pelosi is returned to office.
What the ad shows, is what we all suspect. Doheny is polling better than Owens. The negative ad is a clear sign of that.
How long until Darrel's mouth pieces start their negative campaign. In the past his opponent had to sling the mud first. Now it is Darrel.
Got to love this crap, don't you!
In the ad Owens complains that Doheny lived in New York City. That's funny, didn't Democratic Assembly Candidate McGrath live in New York City too? Doesn't he still own a $800,000 apartment there? The Dems can't have it both ways.
Major league pitching? First ad out of the box and it was already proved false by FactCheck.org when they tried a similar message against a guy in Hawaii... Sounds like Little League from Rep. Owens.
a haphazard campaign by hoffman would have been a great improvement over the campaign he has run to date.
Does it matter if it is true or not?
It looked like an effective ad' from my POV with enough truth that it will harm Doheny as much or more than Doheny's negative ads harmed Hoffman
Watch Owens and Doheny rip each other apart - and Hoffman slips in the side door.... wouldn't that be something?
That's my advice to old Dugout Doug.
At least He got past The Primaries. More than You did Dan The Defeated. Win one than You can brag.
Anon 3:47: I'll tell you what, ä$$hølë, at least I tried. That's more than I can say for you. Plus you're a liar as well...
I have lost only one primary in my life (1992). The other times I made the ballot, but didn't win. I only missed the ballot once (2008).
I have never hid behind anything or behind any label, and I don't hide here either like those hiding behind a phony Anonymous label like you.
You are a pathetic insect.
Owens' ad distorts the facts at best.......
the jobs lost were in PA, not NY
plus, if the company hadn't been reorganized there would have been a lot more jobs lost
kind of like cutting off a gangrenous toe to save an entire leg........
That wasn't me, Dannie. I had nothing to do with it. Just though you'd want to know. A word of advice (that you never take). Don't go nuts every time someone pokes at you.
Moving right along. With Owens/Pelosi's record on jobs, it amazes me that he/she has the nerve to even bring up the subject of employment. This is the highest unemployment rate we've seen in a generation. There is no sign of the problem going away. In a district that has paid such a price how can this race even be close? And we haven't even begun to try to absorb the costs of the health care fiasco. That comes soon. But that WOULD explain why Owens/Pelosi is talking about jobs. He certainly wouldn't want to talk about health costs. No Donkey does.
